Question for liberals. Is it OK to discriminate against people who has a different political views?

Not a trick question. I read recently that some companies are firing people who supported Trump in this last election. As far as I know, politics is NOT a protected class. We have laws on the book for age, race, gender, and sexual orientation...against discrimination for hiring.
    What do you think?

For many years, it was and still may be the policy of our state bureau of Worker's Compensation to require all managers (and director) to be of the same political party as the sitting Governor; and, to contribute a specific amount of money to the party. Those who did not change parties and contribute after the election of a new Governor of a different party lost their jobs. A friend of mine grew weary of changing parties and forced contributions.

That is good to know. It appears bias and discrimination is alive and well in our government still... Perhaps it is just human nature.

The irony of this is that the same liberals who say they want to fire conservatives and censor them on private websites (Facebook, Instagram, etc) then say "you conservatives aren't allowed to discriminate based on your views!"
So the liberals can censor you on private sites, refuse to hire you, fire you, but you have to make the wedding cake you find offensive, because liberals have branded themselves good and conservatives evil, enabling an immoral double standard.

Well maybe you remember this? Gov. Andrew Cuomo, New York said conservatives aren't welcome in New York. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whS9mAPvmG0

Tamara:  It is not about double standards.  It is about believing fake news site articles as fact, without checking the validity of the source.  Conservative are good at that, because they have unquestion faith in Brightbart, Alt Right, and Fox News.

Very true. I'll take fox and breitbart anyday over msnbc and the new york times.

Jack: And there in lies the problem.  They are not even news.  They are broadcasters of right wing propaganda.  Not questioning their sources makes it even worse.  They have created the misinformed public that GOP uses for their voting base.

The reason drudge and breitbart and fox exist is to counter the lies and distortion on the main media. Have you been following what just happened? 70% of people don't trust what the media say. They are just as much to blame for the lost of Hillary.
