If Trump's surrogates are found guilty of colluding with the Russians, what are the consequences?

US officials just reported about their investigation into Trump ties with the Russians that some of DT's surrogates were probably colluding with the Russians on when to release stolen DNC  emails and also those from Podesta . These actions clearly swayed the election to some degree and perhaps made the difference in the election outcome. What, if anything, should be done to correct this obvious treason by the Trump camp. Please do not use HRC as an excuse not to answer the question.

well, im no lawyer, but my answer would be, hand the presidency over to the winner of the popular vote.
obviously, pence cant have it, that little weasel lied and covered right along with the   rest of them. ryan could not manage a wendys, let alone the us of a.....and hes too dense to see whats going on around him, or doesnt care about treason, as long as it benefits him...NOT prez material!
i do believe they could prove actual physical obstruction of the election as well...there is something greg palast has investigated called crosscheck. and it has something to do with trump telling people to go out and vote twice.
honestly, the whole republican party since 2010 needs investigating.
and the perfect ones to do it are graham and mccain.
all the voter suppression laws and the redistricting need to be done away with. citizens united needs to be overturned. no more year and a half long campaigns. all parties and candidates welcome if they make the ballot....free and equal airtime for them all.
we need to implement free and fair elections, and leave the shady, criminal crapola to gambling where it belongs.
    My Opinion

Nunes needs to go if the House investigation is to continue. He is too loyal to DT to remain neutral in heading the committee. How did he get to be head of the committee anyway? Did DT appoint him or who?

Ryan may be in charge of who heads the committee and he's said he has confidence Nunes can be impartial. Yeah right! Nunes refuses to tell the committee what the info is, who told him, and if the info came from the WH. What N hell are committees 4?

The constitution has laid out an order of succession to the presidency. Giving the presidency to Hillary is not an option except in my dreams. In reality the order of succession has to be followed. Mike Pence is only option.

As I had just explained in another thread.  We have several investigations going on right now.  Many people probably mistakenly believe these investigations are into Trump & Russian connections.  I can understand why they would think this if they watch CNN and MSNBC for their news, because this is the propaganda that is being pushed on them.

But what is actually being investigated is:
    A) Who leaked the information on Flynn.
    B) Who ordered the collection of information on Flynn, Trump, and all his other campaign advisers and associates.
    C) Who saw this information and disseminated it.
    D) Why did the Obama Administration ask for a FISA warrant twice, and when/if it was granted the second time, why did the 'information gathering' continue to, and well past, the election.

Those are the types issues being investigated, if there had been any evidence against Trump, who has supposedly been investigated for months leading up to the election (and all this is now coming out, and is verifiable as fact, that intelligence was indeed gathered on him and his advisors)  it would have been used against him long before he became President.

The overwhelming bulk of investigating right now is directed at the former Administration, and those currently or recently employed by various Intelligence Agencies.  Someone will be the scape goat... I am thinking the most probable high office official to get the blame will be former AG Lynch.

We will just have to wait and see.

Ken, you seem to assume FBI and other intelligence agencies are corrupt no matter who is running them. If DT's cronies are doing something illegal, are you against FISA collecting the data? Do you want this nvestigation to be over, or merely halted?

I want the investigations to fully expose and prosecute those who illegally leaked the information and those who illegally ordered the gathering of information on the Republican Nominee. If Trump had been guilty of anything it would have been exposed

Do you know something the intelligence services do not, Ken? Perhaps you need to run to DT as Nunes did yesterday. I'd like to hear your slant on why he did that. Of course, I'm sure it's all because of Obama. You're sounding like Mr. Ed now.

erm...this investigation has been going on since july. nothing was leaked then.and this is just the type of alternate worlds we live in.to r's,it ok that russia hacked and wiki released illegally obtained info.me?no problem with ic going after djt.

So now Nunes has cancelled the public hearing of Manfort's interview. Nunes needs to recuse himself from the investigation after running to Trump with the as yet unseen info. Another president's man who needs to go.

senator mentioned this morning that trump said last week,"something is going to turn up" and we'll all be surprised.i guess this was it. and now reporters are asking nunes if trump called HIM down to office!BINGO!trump told him to spread phony sh*t.!

And Nunes refused to answer if the news came from Trump to begin with. It's like a silly joke the lengths his surrogates are going to justify DT's many lies. Sad for the US!

Ken are you related to Michael, the one that the traitor Tom DeLay did the redistricting in Texas for?

I doubt very much there would be consequences for trump or Pence. Just like Oliver North the traitor who was selling arms to the enemy, he has his own TV show called "War Stories."  Republicans have complete control and they will not allow trump to suffer any consequences at all no matter that it threatens our Democracy and our freedom, as Russia diminishes our standing in the world.

I hope you are wrong, Shyron, but it looks as if DT is trying everything to muddy the waters. It amazes me the DT fans are not concerned with the Russians meddling in our elections as long as they have the Don in power. If the shoe was on the other..

Sooner or later one of DT's cronies will cave and seek immunity from prosecution. I really don't see any of DT's men falling on their sword to protect him. It seems a very disloyal bunch as a whole. Some think Flynn is already seeking a deal.
