This one is hard to believe, but perhaps it's not uncommon?

This man, Daniel Roberts, is one of those wonderful people who attacked the Parkland teenagers for advocating for gun control after they were attacked in their school. He believes the answer is to arm schoolchildren with weapons and has even formed a group called Youth Shooters of America.

Amazing how this is a beautiful metaphor for the relationship between the NRA and the Republican party. Here's the video:

Here's an article on the prank:

Hi crankalicious, I read your linked article, but the video would not play - even going directly to youtube  for it.

You are right, this guy is a nut, (well ... maybe gullible idiot would be a better description). And since he is apparently affiliated with the NRA, and gun programs - he must be a gun nut too.

What a great find for a discussion with an agenda.

But, he was also a middle-aged white guy, and probably a Christian. So to grab a bigger audience, your title could have asked:
Are All Middle-aged Christians, and Gun Nuts this Stupid?

For clarity, besides your claim that he wants to arm school children, (which I didn't see on their website - but I didn't dig any deeper), you could have mentioned what the orgainzation is about:

... and then linked to his ideas about arming school children.

There is no doubt, in my mind, that this guy is gullible, and in this instant he sure does look like a nut for participating. But hell, we all know there are nuts among us. Especially among those middle-aged white Christian guys.

The YouTube link works fine for me. I think if you type Sasha Cohen and Daniel Roberts into Google, you'll get a working link to the video. Really worth watching as it's one of the funniest pranks I've ever seen and amazing that somebody fell for it.

From talking to a relative who recently visited the Deep South, I am shocked at how deeply gun culture is ingrained in some areas of the States.
