... there's some connection to their concepts of what is good and bad.
Trump is not CONSISTANTLY G.O.O.D, like an angel.

He is a rebel. There is a bit of decadence about him, he is cavalier and arrogant. We were ALL audacious and outspoken in the seventies and in the eighties we lived large. Maybe he is a throwback to those days, when people were allowed and encouraged to think for themselves ... and enjoy their prosperity.

Today, the youth have been kept in chains by tyrannic teachers, (who have been trained in universities by those on the left) and by helicopter, micro managing parents! They have become zombies and they do not dare rebel and they do not dare to THINK FOR THEMSELVES!!! They go along with anybody with authority which at this point seems to be the LEFT.

So the real question is why does the LEFT HATE TRUMP?

    Because:
He is for the second amendment, allowing us to protect ourselves.
He is for lifting restrictions/regulations, allowing us to flourish economically.
He is for nationalism, allowing us to protect and keep our nation.
He is for the individual and his strength and ability to thrive.

The youth HAVE been kept in chains yet  , I don't believe they can be kept indefinitely,     we should all feel shame for allowing it to come so easily from academia  though ,    I remember the very transition Kathryn , 1970 -72 for me .  Here's one for you - our parents , just as we have , paid  dearly in taxation for this indoctrination .

      HA!

      pathetic!

Here is an anecdote for you:

I, as a substitute teacher, was leading a third grade class in a discussion about the slave trade in America. I was reading the history book aloud.  Well, the book launched into a gory explanation regarding the cruel treatment of the slaves coming over on the ships from Africa. The blacks were stacked on top of each other, their feet and hands bound with ropes, with little to eat or drink, their feet knawed at by rats ... on and on ... I choked up and couldn't even read it to those innocent nine year olds. I closed the book. I told the students they could finish reading the chapter with their parents.
Well, the teacher caught wind of my refusal to finish the lesson and told the district office. I was called in and told that it was my job to deliver the lesson as the teacher had instructed. If I did not, my career as a substitute would be very short.
I left without saying a word of defense, for fear of losing my "career".

Yes, I am hoping the generation raised in the eighties will have kids who will rise up with common sense.

Kathryn , I agree , systemic brainwashing is prevalent  in certain liberal strongholds , perhaps in many ,many of them .  Fortunately,  as I know you live in California , we know that's the greater hotspot . I  also know that according to studies about equal numbers of elementary teachers are liberal or conservative with almost an equal number of independents , or so they claim .

The bigger problem is in colleges where up to eighty - odd percent are liberal professors . THAT is a greater problem , so the elementary schools are" simply  setting the kids up" for brainwashing and the colleges finishing .   Another thing  , look around us here and realize that most liberals are MORE vocal ,  that's all , they simply emote more politics than conservatives do .
Why do you think there was such a reality slam when Trump won the election ?

Liberals emote their life experiences and feel their way  through politics ! Conservatism just shows up at the polls and brings about the hard truths .
