    On October 10, 2018 according to the Washington Times, President Trump stated that the Democratic proposal "Medicare for All" is the first step toward socialism in America.  President Trump stated that the centrist Democratic Party is dead & that the Democratic Party has evolved into a socialist party.  President Trump stated that the Democrats wants to model America after Venezuela.  What are your thoughts on this? (Was unable to link the article-link was broken).

      Eh, it's just Trump fear mongering again. About 30-35% of the country will buy into it, as usual.

    I have stated this before in other forums about any form of "free health care ", thus paid for by "single source "government .   Actual studies were done using the state of Vermont's  fairly recently passed a state paid health care mandate , actually passed before Obama Care .   It might have been a Harvard study   , at the time of the study the proposed budget that would have paid for free health care for all Vermont residents EQUALLED almost twice the state budget .  Thereby  DOUBLING the required revenue intake .

    Any takers for what that does to ALL state or federal budgeting situations,  are you willing to effectively double whatever taxes and fees that you pay within your locality ,state or federal government  region ?

    Doubling taxes ,It is that simple .

    Since I cannot fathom accepting that anyone could die, because they cannot afford life saving medical treatment, I do support finding ways to ensure heath care for all. Sane, sustainable ways. It would require revamping the way we view medicine. If that is a step toward socialism I'm afraid the exploration of how to take that step is something compassion demands I support.
