Can anyone explain this poll?

    This poll is about the future direction of our country. This poll has been below 50% for most of the Obama 8 years. Now, two years into a new Trump administration, the poll remain pretty much the same. How come?
    Who is taking these polls and who is reponding?
    There is something wrong with a poll when it does not reflect reality.
    It is just common sense.

      The country is pretty evenly divided. What's to understand? It was the same way during the Obama years.

        Perhaps you are missing something. What I am saying is we just had two very opposing administrations with very different policies...
        How can the majority say we are going the wrong direction?
        And what might that direction be?

        My point in asking is I question the validity of these polls.
        As we all know, not all polls are valid or right.
        They sure got the 2016 election wrong...

          Which area do you agree or diagree the direction our our country...?
          A. Economy
          B. National Security
          C. Foreign Policy
          D. Domestic spending and debt
          E. Immigration and border control
          F. Social policies...
          G. The Supreme Court

          Yes. 2 administrations. Diverse policy. A fairy evenly divided country. A poll sampling a cross section would find one group not happy, under one administration and the other group not happy under the other.
