Why do some people want the government to grant amenities in terms of low cost, even free health care, higher education, & housing? Isn't it more befitting or appropriate that people provide these amenities instead of the government? Let's go further, let people also provide for their own social security! Your thoughts? Does the government provide FAR TOO much for the American people & how to STOP this?
We can do all that and more, if they they cut their military budget to 5% (adverage) Rather than it's 50% of the entire world military budget today.
War solve nothing anyways.
War, outright violence against other people, has "solved" more problems than anything in the history of mankind. If we all had a military budget of 5%, for instance, we would all be either Germans or Japanese now.
Both wars were setup by the Zionist (fake news jews) bankers. Thank dog, most people greatly dislike war. Solves nothing except gives greedy bastards more control. How is that working out for the planet?
Better than disarming and allowing foreign countries to take our country for their own. Even when some imagine that all violence stems from Israel, it's still better.
What country in the world would be insane enough to confront the US with their Citizens bullets greater in than any populationed country by numbers and ten time greater than their own military.
Glad I will live a fearless gun free life and will not allow guns in my eco community because people are basically good.
That's a great testimonial showing the benefits of gun ownership in America.
Guns have as much benefits as chemo... zero. My small community is cancer free.
Well, you did say it would preclude any from invading so that sounds like a benefit to me.
I think that privatization did not always work. The quality of the train and the post for instance was way better when it was run by the government.
I don't see the advantage of privatisation. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Healthcare should also be nationalised as a government you have the responsibility over all your citizens. Which means poor people and homeless people too. So there should always be a basic healthcare, no matter your income. Often the poorest people need the medical attention most. Healthcare can be run by the government or a non profit organization. Healthcare is not like a supermarket with it's only goal profit. The goal of healthcare is to make people better, this is a different mentality then making profit.
I wish healthcare was honestly run well as priority number 1. Since pharmaceuticals and medical profession are the leading cause of death in the world. We are better off running our own health. Plus, running our own education because their programing minds turn most people into robots, sheep and vombies.
"Healthcare should also be nationalised as a government you have the responsibility over all your citizens."
Where does that responsibility end? With the food people eat? The house they live in? The clothes they wear? Their education? Their transportation? Their entertainment?
Where does the peoples responsibility for themselves take over and it they are no longer dependent on government to supply their needs and wants?
Don't you think that a government has responsibility over its citizens Wilderness? Or do you think that a state could do without a government.
It's a great idea, until revolution occurs. Everyone doesn't have equal access or power to do such things - not saying the government should - but when things are unequal, revolution occurs, that's what history has taught all nations. That's why from Communist China to democratic nations - a bit of socialism as well as capitalist ideas must be merged. The secret is not swinging too much in either direction.
That's the darndest best comment said on this thread, up to now!
When the main goal of private healthcare is to make money and it is not to provide the best care for the people, perhaps it is time to change the industry. Just saying.
Medicare for All would certainly be that change Valient. It outlaws private insurance that would duplicate any public option coverages.
Bottom line; you can keep your doctor as long as he joins us. You can choose your health coverage as long as you choose us.
Just saying.

Why does no one know who to spell my handle? It's getting weird.
Bernie Sanders' model of Medicare for All outlaws private insurance. Saying that all Medicare for All proposals would need to is a different story. We all know how far to the left Bernie is, let's not go stereotyping the entire policy by one's man vision of it. You're better than that usually.
Hold on a minute Valeant, (sorry for my misspelling), regarding whether I am better than that...
Bernie Sanders plan is the one that has been submitted for legislation, and it is the one that four other Democrat candidates has co-sponsored, or endorsed.
So at this point it is the one that is the point of the discussion. You may be right that other plans may be floated, but I doubt they will be termed Medicare for All.
I will probably also weigh-in on those plans, but for now, Bernie's plan is the focus, so maybe my comment is as truthful as possible at this point.

I'm not afraid of it. But I'm not in favor of it. The government screws up a lot. You can't always trust them when it comes to money. I would like the government to stay out of it as much as possible.
