This is an interesting read... source at the end.
The Obama administration stunned New York's delegation Thursday, dropping the bombshell news that it does not support funding the 9/11 health bill.
The state's two senators and 14 House members met with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius just hours before President Obama implored in his speech to the nation for Congress to come together and deliver a government that delivers on its promises to the American people.
So the legislators were floored to learn the Democratic administration does not want to deliver for the tens of thousands of people who sacrificed after 9/11, and the untold numbers now getting sick.

This is rubbish...eleven billion dollars of tax payer's money to be awarded to those who helped after the 9/11 attack!! talk about pork.
That's right why should the government pay for the health care of those who were victims and defenders of 9/11 when they can put that money to use for bridges to nowhere and underused mass transit.
$4 Billion a month is spent chasing a handful of supposed Terrorists in Afghanistan, yet the people who responded to the destruction of the World Trade Center are not worth $11 Billion over the reminder of their lives?
Seems like a pretty strange priority our Government is applying to Terror.

I thought this article was interesting, especially since it appeared in the NYT. According to this guru, costs will INCREASE, not decrease. This is the same guru that democrats hailed as wonderful when he challenged Bush. Don't worry, though, costs will increase by only a few billion, and what's a...
