This is from a New York Times story citing more than a dozen witnesses to these events.

President Trump recommended shooting migrants to keep them from crossing the border and building a moat filled with alligators, so presumably migrants would be devoured if they tried to swim across.

This is a pretty ridiculous story. If I'm Trump, at this point, I'm instructing my staff to feed the media stories like this one to keep them reporting garbage because then I can go back later and attack them for being so stupid.

This story can't possibly be true and is more likely a set-up by Trump to keep the media off balance and to show that they'll write a story about anything.

How the heck does the Times get 12 corroborating witnesses on this?

I don't doubt it's true as Trump has so many different looney ideas.

I recommended a similar thing (sort of as a lark) and got banned from the forums.

I can attest to the mods not having a sense of humor....

Because Trump's traumatized staff is willing to talk about it, like they are about Ukraine and other topics.

An opinion? Newspapers like the Times get information like that from multiple sources, both for confirmation and legal protection.

It's only false if 12 people lied to them and all said the exact same thing.

As evidenced by the comments here, lefties will believe anything if it boils down to 'orange man bad'. I'm glad to see everyone else looking at this with skepticism.

So if the NYT provides a story with over a dozen sources and you don't believe it, what's your basis for deciding what is accurate or truthful?
