I see the increased homelessness.  There is going to an even more chasmic  socioeconomic class divide than ever before.  Of course, with the rise of A1, jobs, even white color jobs, will be phased out.  This will further exacerbate the socioeconomic class divide.  Those who are highly skilled in addition to being highly educated will thrive while those w/lesser/less specialized skills & a general education(college education included) will become the new poor.

When I think about the next ten years, I think about something I heard on a podcast. (paraphrasing) Penn Jillette said how every year things are getting better and how every year people think they are getting worse. Do I know what will happen in the next ten years? No, I don’t. I know that either in this coming year or four years from now, we will have a New American President, and He or She will be the same as the last one with promises they cannot keep. People will see that person as the second coming while others see them as the next Hitler. It will all end just like every other presidency with grief, relief, and hope the next person is different because the who was wrong, we will be fooled again.

I see the United States of America in 2020 beginning to direct the world toward peace. The first thing I expect is Trump will have a divine messenger to force him and Pence to resign and the Christ and a girl Vice will become Co-Presidents, Equals, l but with different duties. By them being equal leaders it will set the example for the nation to elevate its differences. For example: Companies nor any other employers will earn such of an extremely larger amount than the workers in order to begin to unite the nation.

Shortly after that the messiah will manifests by being pierces, I believe by a single bullet to the heart, and buried to rise some 72+ hours later to begin draining the swamp of corruption governing this nation. As that manifests the other nations will began to follow suit for world peace to prevail until the 5 (% of earth population) virgins are secured in Armageddon before the Battle of That Great Day of God Almighty terminates the world.

The "twenties", will they "roar" like their namesake 100 years ago?

I would like to see a boost in our space travel objectives, start with a return to the moon.

I see the perfection in the technology associated with driverless vehicles in the next decade, putting more people out of work.

I am hoping for an upset, denying Trump a second term. Political realities can change by the day, who would have ever thought that someone like Trump could ever rise to the Presidency?

Teleportation, pattern replicators, faster than light travel, will have to wait until later.

I still marvel how over the past decade the improvement in voice recognition technology which was as recently as the 1990's  ham-handed and clunky at best. Now I can tell my telephone to play any song I like and it responds, who needs radio?

May you all enjoy the greatest of 20/20 foresight in the coming new year....

I am greatly anticipating the coming decade.  I wonder what the 50s, even 60s will be like?  I shall be holding on...…..to see.  The 20th century started w/the horse & buggy & ended with rockets & the internet.  The 21st century will be a faster paced century than the 20th......

It is exciting to contemplate, what will be the next "big thing"?

I am waiting for the controlled nuclear fusion that the eggheads always say is just around the corner.

Nanotechnology may be for the 21st century what electronics and computers were to the twentieth. This can change the way we manufacture, and the possibilities for improved medical technology are quite impressive.

They are talking about implants of computer components to interface with the biology of human beings. Some of the possibilities may not be so welcome.

I am still looking for more compact and powerful energy storage devices, to replace the batteries we have today....

I guess I will have to wait to move away from firearms weapons to side arms that use directed energy, but again we have the energy storage problem.
