Is the coronavirus a scam?

   Ok.  I was watching a YouTube video yesterday that details how illegal wildlife trade lead to the coronavirus affecting us today, and came across a comment on the video that got me thinking.   
   
   One of the people in the comments suggested that this whole coronavirus situation is a hoax, and that the media, politicians and corporations are all in on it and using the coronavirus as an excuse to explain the economic collapse around the world.  The person cites how various CEOs within the past year all stepped down before the coronavirus situation forced non essential businesses to shut down because this was all apparently planned and the CEOs are all cowards and don't want to take any blame.     
   
   I personally think this person is full of shit honestly so no I don't buy into what he says but it was interesting to read and I may do my own independent research into what she claims. However what are your thoughts?  Is the coronavirus a hoax to cover up the fact that our own economy was destined to collapse and this is the media and governments way of hiding the blame?    Or do you think this is just an outlandish conspiracy theory?  Please discuss.

      Oh, gosh. I love me a good conspiracy theory but this one doesn't appear to hold water. Tell her if she wants to run with this idea she'll need to go a little deeper. The government, media and corporations probably couldn't coordinate and run something of that magnitude and keep a lid on it tight enough not to be found out.
      
      She should change those to aliens, the illuminati and Trump. Not the government, just Trump.
      
      Make that little adjustment and you've got the media driven by the left pitching in to help spread the idea, since it makes Trump look bad. The left will buy in for the same reason.
      
      The far right will appreciate the inclusion in the illuminati, sounds like deep state, so they'll buy in.
      
      And with all the recent scuttlebutt about UFO info being released, adding aliens is a good bet for interest and a modicum of believability for many.

      I'd agree that this is a BS conspiracy. I've also seen alt-right-wingers spreading a conspiracy that there is a Trump administration-QAnon operation against human/child traffickers happening under the cover of the pandemic. Tom Hanks was busted, now an informant, pretended to have the virus, etc. etc...

   Far more likely by far is that the COVID-19 virus is one that either the warlords of the Chinese Communist Party created and it got away from them, or one they decided to give a sample try.  Their own lack of humanity inspired them to try to blame the pandemic on the U. S. Army.
