On his first day in office, President Joe Biden signed more than a dozen executive actions, some of which reverse decisions made by his predecessor, former President Donald Trump.

Several executive actions will make changes to the U.S. response to COVID-19 and try to ease some of the financial strain on Americans resulting from the pandemic. Other executive actions directly target and undo Mr. Trump's actions on the environment, immigration, the U.S. census, and regulatory changes.

Mr. Biden signed three executive orders in the presence of reporters — implementing a mask mandate on federal property, increasing support for underserved communities and rejoining the Paris climate accord.

Yes, and I just finished watching a real press conference with a real press secretary who answers questions and knows stuff. So refreshing!

Imagine, actually "knowing stuff" as opposed to just "I hear things".

Exactly what I have been saying would get done immediately upon his taking office.

The additional steps to get into compliance with the Global Compact on Migration and shifting to all Americans having Digital Wallets will be completed within the next 24 months.

I also expect the Green New Deal to become reality within that time, which will include a major federal tax on gas, and vacation/additional properties.

I don't have a problem with your predictions, though I doubt The Green New Deal, as it was originally structured, would make it through Congress.

You provide a good article that clearly defined what Biden did on his first day in office. I think it would be almost impossible to address his first-day Ex-orders fairly. Each one will affect the country in some respect, and yes one could predict the outcomes of his new policies offhandedly.  However, time will tell how these changes either are beneficial or in some respects harmful to America, and its citizens.

I think each executive order deserves a thread of its own. And as I said some time to glean some results.

Calm down children, calm down. Don't start your 'happy dance' yet. It's honeymoon time, we will get to the real stuff soon enough. ;-)

But, until then, I liked his inaugural speech.

Yes, I know. It's just nice to see competence and decency again. A press conference where questions were cheerfully answered and no reporters were insulted, chastised, or told to sit down. ;-)

Aliens from outer space visited the White House on President Biden's first day in office. Three Grays were escorted to the oval office where they were handed masks and told to social distance. They sat with newly elected Joe Biden, welcomed him to the White House and congratulated him on his Presidency. Joe thanked them for coming and treated them quite well by ignoring their strange appearances and behaving as though they were just typical people, (although clearly, with their grayness, they were not ... but they did speak English astonishingly well.) He answered several questions politely and honestly to the best of his ability, (and to extent that he was allowed.) He patiently provided them with the honest facts regarding the progress being made with the pandemic. In return for his graciousness, and in sympathy for the plight of America and the world, the three alien Grays tried to give President Biden a scientific and natural formula to eliminate COVID19. Strangely, Joe Biden, at this point, hurried them out of the room and incoming White House press secretary Jen Psaki quickly shut the door behind them.

So much for Joe's kindness, competency and decency, I say!

I mean, the aliens got in their space ship and we may never see them again. sad

Why would Joe Biden and Jen Psaki send them away, especially when it was all going so well?

    Wondering.
