According the to U.S Commerce Department Republican-run state governments are doing economically much better than Democrat-run blue states. What is is about economics that Republicans understand that Democrats do not?
"Red states are leading economic growth in the U.S., a new report by the U. S. Commerce Department shows, with South Dakota, Texas and Utah reporting the highest growth...The top three states in quarter-over-quarter growth were South Dakota (9.9%), Texas (7.5%), and Utah (7.1%). All three have Republican trifecta governments, with Republicans controlling the governor’s offices and both chambers of state legislatures."

Common sense and good governing are what sets many red states ahead of Blue states. It's easy to see just even considering the pandemic, red states were careful with what they shut down. Most choose to have a few businesses closed. Many red states appear to stay in some control of their budgets. Like I said common sense just goes a long way.

You are absolutely right. You have to wonder shy those who run the blue states don't adopt some of the economic policies of the red states that have proven to work. But, I realize they aren't after making their state a success, they are after the power and control that comes with running their state. They are more concerned with image than reality.
Blue states have had access to Utah's example for forever. We had a real "Rainy Day Fund" when COVID-19 hit us. Oh, thankful day! Currently we have 3% unemployment for a state with a median age of about 28. We believe in God, believe the future depends on strong families, and fiscal conservatism, not empty liberal, political promises that claim "you will get all this for free!" Yes we can be forced to bail out the Blue States, and pay down some of the National Debt, but while we are doing that we will be living the good life the rest of the states could have enjoyed, if only they were smart enough to learn from Utah's good governing by both Democrat and Republican governors!
Persypcacious,
Thanks for sharing.
Utah has to be one of the most beautiful states I've ever visited. From Zion National park to the Fiery Furnace to the Grand Staircase, and so much more. I visit your state every opportunity I have.

Latest riots and protests in Portland just a sign of how society crumbles under anarchy. They are demonstrating exactly why we need the police and that they are worse than the problem.
