So it has been reported that Biden earns ‘Four Pinocchios’ from Washington Post for false claims about the newly pasted Georgia voting law.  The Washington Post Fact Checker knocked President Biden on Tuesday for falsely claiming a new Georgia law "ends voting hours early," giving him the harshest rating of Four Pinocchios for spreading the misinformation.

Biden made repeated claims last week stating   "What I’m worried about is how un-American this whole initiative is. It’s sick. It’s sick," Biden said. "Deciding that you’re going to end voting at five o'clock when working people are just getting off work."

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news … owa-speech

At a rally, while campaigning  Biden made the odd claim that Democrats believe in truth, not facts came to mind when learning Joe received four Pinocchios’for his statement in regard to Georgia's new voting laws.

Could Biden's truth be whatever he wants them to be?   Whereas facts just become an inconvenience to Biden.

Looking back at his past it is clear he randomly lied about many things, things that really he did not need to. He lied about his first wife's death, Claiming A drunk killed her in an auto accident.  The court report showed the driver had no alcohol in his system, and Biden's wife ran a traffic sign. source --  https://www.newarkpostonline.com/news/l … da02d.html

Feb. 17, 2020, Biden while campaigning at an event in Las Vegas, Nevada Joe Biden, claims he was “arrested” in South Africa visiting Nelson Mandela. Fact Checkers found this statement untrue.   Source --  https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics … e-mandela/

On July 2 2020 Joe claimed he takes cognitive tests frequently... Seem, Joe is either lying or very confused.  Then ---   During an interview on Aug 5, 2020, former Vice President Joe Biden said that he had not ever taken a cognitive test and proceeded to make a racist comment to the Black man that was conducting the interview. Likening the gentleman to a "junkie."

These are just a few mistruths that are factual. It well appears Biden tells lies. Many American's found or felt that lying was a true character flaw in Trump.  Many could not tolerate it whatsoever.   It's also a fact that almost everything that came out of Trump's mouth was fact-checked. So, what about Joe's propensity to tell lies, what are your thoughts?

So, is this very obvious character flaw of lying to be tolerable in Biden?   And if yes --- why?

Could Biden's habit of lying possibly be due to confusion, more so than a character flaw?

Hey Joe --- Did you really write the $2 trillion infrastructure and jobs known as the American Jobs Plan?   March 31. 2021  Biden addressed the nation and did take credit for writing the plan.  "when I wrote it"?

Did Biden write the plan?  As a rule, a president's administration and staffers are actully responsible for putting the president's ideas to "paper"?

      Confusion or mistruth?

Gee, Biden is a profound liar.  All we hear from the left is crickets.  Have you ever heard of the word hypocrisy? How about double-standards?  The Democrats excel both.

WaPo Fact-Checkers Slam Biden for Georgia Election Law Claims: ‘Four Pinocchios’

“One could understand a flub in a news conference. But then this same claim popped up in an official presidential statement. Not a single expert we consulted who has studied the law understood why Biden made this claim, as this was the section of law that expanded early voting for many Georgians,” the Post stated. “Somehow Biden managed to turn that expansion into a restriction aimed at working people, calling it ‘among the outrageous parts’ of the law.”

The Post’s fact-checking “about” page notes that “Four Pinocchios” are reserved for claims that are “Whoppers.”

          Bingo! Joe lied again.

Old Joe Biden claims he would "strongly support" moving this year's Major League Baseball All-Star Game out of Georgia following the passage of a sweeping elections bill that brings a wave of new voting restrictions to the state.  Really Joe!  This sounds like you hope to punish the people of Georgia due to your objection for a state to make their own voting laws.

First, he lies about the actual new voting laws Georgia just pasts, stating that the hours were changed to make it hard for some to vote. This is not true, and one only needs to read Georgia's new voting laws to see hours have actually been expanded, as well as weekend voting in some counties. Georgia has added  9 days longer early voting than New York,  and yes one will need a voter ID to obtain an absentee ballot.

The LIE.  BIDEN  stated  "Look at what's happened across the board. The very people who are victimized the most are the people who are the leaders in these various sports, and it's just not right," Biden said. "This is Jim Crow on steroids, what they're doing in Georgia and 40 other states."

The glaring lie --  "what they're doing in Georgia and 40 other states."
What other states Joe?  He lied once again, and once again this lie very much appears to confuse and cause division.
          https://www.politico.com/news/2021/03/3 … ame-478812

Secondly, in my view, it's very clear Biden is trying to play the game of canceling a state for acting on its right to change voting laws. States are responsible for individual voting laws ...  " Election rules vary widely among states because states, rather than the federal government, play the primary role in creating policy on elections administration. State legislatures and ballot measures create many of the rules governing ballot access, voter registration, and vote counting.  https://ballotpedia.org/Why_do_states_h … _rules%3F_(2020)

Maybe Biden needs a refresher on what the Federal Government does and does not do.  Better yet maybe he should read the Laws Georgia has put in place, and stop telling mistruths to feed his base.

This man is conducting the cheapest form of politicking. Lying to cause division and discord in the country.

As for early voting, the law specifically mentions that voting sites are required to open “beginning at 9:00 a.m.and ending at 5:00 p.m.”

I believe early voting still counts as voting, based on 'lodgic.'

That makes Biden's statement both truthful and based on facts.  Double win.

Take your argument up with WAPO

"WaPo Fact-Checkers Slam Biden for Georgia Election Law Claims: ‘Four Pinocchios’

"President Biden speaks about the state of vaccinations at the White House in Washington, D.C., March 18, 2021. (Carlos Barria/Reuters)

The Washington Post fact-checking outfit awarded President Joe Biden “Four Pinocchios” — its worst rating — for his claim that a new Georgia election-security law “ends voting hours early.”

Biden, whose White House called the legislation “Jim Crow in the 21st Century,” has repeatedly insinuated that the law limits voting opportunities. “Among the outrageous parts of this new state law, it ends voting hours early so working people can’t cast their vote after their shift is over,” he said in a statement on Friday.

During his first presidential press conference on Thursday, Biden said what he was “worried about is how un-American this whole initiative is,” calling it “sick” and saying that “you’re going to end voting at five o’clock when working people are just getting off work.”

But the law makes no change to Georgia’s Election Day voting hours, which run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. “[E]xperts say the net effect was to expand the opportunities to vote for most Georgians, not limit them,” the Post reported. MIT election expert Charles Stewart III, who studied the law’s language for the paper, found that “it indicated an expansion of hours, especially in rural counties.”

Did Biden insinuate, as the article claims, or did he actually lie?

Everything he said was the truth.  The hours for early voting can be limited if a county so chooses to 9am to 5pm.  Who voted early in this last election - the majority were Democrats.

Expanding election day hours - where Republicans were the majority - get helped with an expansion of hours, favoring the rural areas where the majority are Republicans.

And next bit of mystery, does everything the Washington Post say represent the truth?  The last four years, the media was the enemy of the people. All spewing fake news.  Suddenly, they are all truth speakers.  Weird how that all changed so quickly.

Take your argument up with WAPO

"WaPo Fact-Checkers Slam Biden for Georgia Election Law Claims: ‘Four Pinocchios’

Did you contact WAPO, and ask them to print a retraction on the article? They seemed to do their homework, and offer solid fact-checking on Joe's latest lie. Maybe also you may need to contact many other News outlets that have reported Joe's Lie.

"iden, whose White House called the legislation “Jim Crow in the 21st Century,” has repeatedly insinuated that the law limits voting opportunities. “Among the outrageous parts of this new state law, it ends voting hours early so working people can’t cast their vote after their shift is over,” he said in a statement on Friday.

As for early voting, the law specifically mentions that voting sites are required to open “beginning at 9:00 a.m.and ending at 5:00 p.m.” The specification, however, does not fit Biden’s characterization. As the Post noted, “[m]any listeners might assume he was talking about voting on Election Day, not early voting.” Yahoo!    https://news.yahoo.com/wapo-fact-checke … 36411.html

      https://www.nationalreview.com/news/wap … inocchios/

But hey, you believe what makes your head stop spinning.

'The specification, however, does not fit Biden’s characterization.'

So now it was a characterization and not actually a lie.

'As the Post noted, “[m]any listeners might assume he was talking about voting on Election Day, not early voting.”'

So the author admits that it takes an assumption that listeners would have to make that Biden was actually talking specifically about Election Day that would then make this a lie.

For those that do research and know that there was clear language in the bill that early voting should end at 5pm, they would not need to make an assumption, they would understand Biden's statement was a truth.

And from characterizations and assumptions, we get this thread.

I haven't read through the thread. I actually got drawn in by the title. It makes me see Biden musing in a cabin.

My personal opinion is that Biden is just old. He is from the days politicians could speak and pretend they didn't say it the next day. Pre internet.
