    April 1, 2021 --- Biden says he would 'strongly support' moving the MLB All-Star Game out of Georgia over new voting law.  --"President Joe Biden said he would "strongly support" moving this year's Major League Baseball All-Star Game out of Georgia following the passage of a sweeping elections bill that brings a wave of new voting restrictions to the state."

    One day later the MLB said it will relocate the all-star game. Did Biden just support a boycott of Georgia?

    April 2, 2021  --- MLB announced this week it would be relocating its All-Star Game and MLB draft in response to the  Georga new state election law.  Republicans have said will restore faith in the state’s elections, but Democrats have alleged will restrict voting access.

    The bill very clear and fair, and will work to fixed many problems that have needed fixing for some years. Republican supporters say the new laws are needed to restore confidence in Georgia’s elections.

    "Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box," Commissioner Robert D. Manfred said in a statement.

    One only needs to read the 98-page bill to realize it will be beneficial to all that hope to vote and see free, and fair elections. So, why is the MLB getting into politics?  And if they all of a sudden feel they need to be socially responsible ---  accountable for fulfilling their civic duty, and compassionate to society as a whole what about their huge contract with Communist China?

    "But Rubio made reference to recent reports that the baseball organization had extended its agreement with Chinese-owned Tencent to stream games into the authoritarian country -- which has cracked down on pro-democracy protests. MLB first penned a deal with the tech giant in 2018.

    In 2017, MLB announced a 10-year relationship with Chinese state-owned Beijing Enterprises Real-Estate Group Ltd."

    "Marco Rubio
    @marcorubio
    @MLB caves to pressure & moves draft & #AllStarGame out of Georgia on the same week they announce a deal with a company backed by the genocidal Communist Party of #China. Why are we still listening to these woke corporate hypocrites on taxes, regulations & anti-trust?" Rubio tweeted."

    Hey Joe Biden, you gonna boycott the Beijing Olympics because of mass genocide?

    Or are you just into hurting Atlanta small businesses that were planning on the all-star game?

    Americans are sick of this woke BS.

    @MLB is a disgrace.

    Do you find the MBL showing hypocrisy in regards to canceling out Georgia yet being in a huge money-making contract with China?   A country that is presently proceeding with inhumane policies against the Uighurs.

    Should those that see this as hypocritical would you consider a boycott of the MLB?

    Maybe time to cancel out the MBL, and there is no way better to do that than take cash out of their pockets than to just not buy tickets.

    Is Biden kind or not?

    There is the crux of the matter.

        It's definitely something both parties use as a tool to influence.  And both sets of media think only to attack the other party without looking in the mirror.

    Interesting:

    Machiavelli Mitch complains about corporations acting within the realm of politics while he was all for the Citizens United ruling equating corporations to people allowing for unlimited donations to Republican candidates and their cronies.

    Funny how the table turns when the corporate actions is not to the GOP's benefit.

    You can't have it both ways....

    I think what I find most galling is that I had grown to accept that corporations are amoral in their decision making, looking to profit above all else. And, now this.

    Them weighing in on anything, pretending it's immoral would be laughable. But, I think only a fool doesn't get their angle.
