"The Eucharist is being weaponized" Catholic bishops to vote this week on whether to block Biden from taking Communion.

“I do not believe that we have a right to tell other people that - women they can’t control their body,”  Joe Biden  said about women’s right to choose to have abortions in 2012"

Biden recently said, "Reproductive rights are a constitutional right. And, in fact, every woman should have that right." Jan 2021

" (Reuters) -A divided conference of U.S. Roman Catholic bishops announced on Friday that they had voted to draft a statement on Holy Communion that may admonish Catholic politicians, including President Joe Biden, who support abortion rights."  Source https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-bis … 021-06-18/

"In October 2019, Biden was reportedly refused communion at a church in Florence, South Carolina. On January 21, 2021, one day after his inauguration as president, Biden received communion from the hands of the archbishop of Washington DC, Cardinal Wilton Daniel Gregory."

Will the Church revoke Biden's right to take Communion?

Will Biden denounce abortion to continue to receive Holy Communion?

Perhaps, he will just stick with his pro-abortion opinion
    and denounce his Catholic religion.

Perhaps, he is anti-abortion but has let his party dictate what he shares with the American public.  In my view, he comes from the "old school of pandering" ---" tell'em what they want to hear, no need to share true values if the crowd is cheering."

Will they revoke his right to receive crackers and juice? No, even if they did there'd be those who don't care and still give him his crackers and juice. Communion is a false idol, anyways, much like the idea of seeking forgiveness via another human's self-proclaimed status; to even be having this conversation is a joke.

Will he denounce abortion to receive crackers and juice? Heck no, lol, that'd remove most of his base from his camp. Although, it would provide an opportunity to nuzzle up to right-leaning moderates, but it would be useless because he'd lose a majority and only gain a marginal minority.

He won't denounce his Catholic religion, there is no need to. This is a non-issue, no laws were passed, no one is affected in the long-term by his ability to say words, eat crackers, and drink juice. Unless he turned out to be the "anti-christ" I'd say this issue will never be a real one. At most, he succeeds in dividing the Abrahamic faiths even further, and organized religion continues to rightfully crumble to the sounds of cheering from the peanut gallery.

I think the majority of the USA is anti-abortion in the sense of letting people make poor decisions, and then resolve the consequences with murder. I've written on the topic half-heartedly before: https://hubpages.com/politics/Bipartisa … in-America

Do we want a President who tries to force his personal religious beliefs on the nation?  IMO Biden is right to separate the two, and if costs him from the church then so be it.

Normally it is the Republican party that uses their religious beliefs as a yardstick for how the people of the country should behave.  Hopefully Biden will not follow that path.

The separation of church and state is an important ideal, and one that really only stands the test of reality in idealistic notions, I agree. Starting to feel like Biden's cabinet is on a reputation-building campaign, because all of this is irrelevant outside of approval ratings, and his approval ratings have been slipping until now.

"I am not the Catholic candidate for president. I am the Democratic Party's candidate for president, who happens also to be a Catholic."

      John F. Kennedy, 1960

That is the attitude I want to see from President Biden, and so far I am most satisfied as to how he has handled the "Catholic" controversy.

          Both....

The President is to abide by the Constitution, who in his official capacity gives neither favor or disfavor to any religious denomination

"The President is to abide by the Constitution..."

Interesting, in view of his actions in shutting down ICE in the interior and allowing/encouraging millions of illegal aliens to make a life on the American dime.  Ignoring American law is NOT part of abiding by the Constitution, particularly after swearing to enforce our laws.

JFK appointed one of the two justices who dissented against Roe v. Wade. He claimed to devote a Catholic, although we know he leads a life that would prove otherwise.

At one point he made a statement about his feelings on abortion. he claimed he felt the majority of American's were against abortion, and he found abortion repugnant.

I prefer separation of church and state. His previous statement on abortion,  if to be believed, indicates he is pro-abortion, and sticking to it. So, it well appears he is separating church and state.

I have yet to hear a statement from the White House on the latest story about Biden being possibly denied Holy Communion. At any rate, the Church is talking about withholding the Eucharist from Biden. They aren't talking about making laws here in the US. This has to do with Church doctrine, its laws. Biden can govern whether he receives the Eucharist or not.  He may be very upset if he is denied Communion, but he is the president of the United States, and hopefully will do his job, and stand by what he believes. It would seem he may need to search his heart and answer the question -- is being a Catholic more important than his pro-abortion stances? One thing for sure if he flip-flops on his many pro-abortion comments he will lose a part of his base.

Anyway, Joe is Catholic in name only. He has been involved in the Mafia and his son is a moral wreck. He has received Money from China and has not disclosed his true connection to that godless nation. He has sold his soul for the benefit of his EGO which he absolutely lives for. He has no connection to spiritual values which the Catholic Church provides. He has no conscience, which the Catholic Church helps a person guide his life by. He has no ability to determine right from wrong as he continues to do things a president should not do, such as remove the Keystone Pipeline which would have made us energy independent and by so doing, put ten thousand people out of work. Such as put himself in a position where he is beholden to the wicked Chinese government. Such as having a summit with the wicked Russian President, who he should have nothing to fo with. etc.

Isolating himself from world leaders of any country would be foolish, and no POTUS should/will ever do it. We must interact with every country, show that we are the top dogs and fear nothing as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Our POTUS, the King, must lead that march through the valley.

Not to say Biden is the man for that job, but I wanted to address the political ignorance here.

Ad lib from a book on political sciences: "The great thing about being in a castle is that you have a strong defense, and full larders you may access at your leisure. However, all your enemies will know where you are at all times, and they will ensure you never leave that castle. Beware the false safety of isolation."

I am talking about who he decides to get in bed with. Meanwhile. he has rejected our ally, Israel. Israel is our only Middle East ally. And yet we are to reconnect with the Middle East through dependance on oil from Saudi Arabia. And he falsely says we will stop with the wars and the troop sending to the Middle East. Oh no, we are back to war.
Lying is forbidden by any religion ... especially to a whole nation of people.

Anyone who wants us out of the ME is absolutely delusional, or painfully unaware of the reality of geopolitics. No president will take us out, that'd be giving power directly to China, Russia, Iran, etc.

No one turned their backs on Israel, they still have their fat defense bills in the tens of billions from us (increasing yearly), and we send operators there on a daily basis to contribute to their pseudo-war crimes. Israel is fine, they will continue to be fine as we adapt to everchanging geopolitical climates in the regions surrounding it. If anything we should be using that defense spending on American infrastructure, not Israeli bombs.

We have never not worked with the Saudis, because they will switch, once again, to our enemies if we do not. Geopolitics is a bitch, but a necessary game to play.

Religion and politics are separate outside of virtue-signaling, it's only ever used for pandering to those who swallowed the kool aid from their flavor of church. You can't be a strict believer in religion, except maybe the older forms of satanism and paganism, and still remain a politician. Most religious texts allow for wiggle room, but the fact of the matter is you must "sin" without repentance to be a politician.

The same as any other politician/powerful man, innumerable and growing. Must I really begin to list them all? We've drifted from the topic at hand, however, so I'll kill this line of thought here.

I am interested in your list.
and I think it is a right-on line of thought.
well, according to the direction I have taken it ...
