5 Dems are the most important holdouts as Pelosi tries to jam through Biden's reconciliation bill with no CBO score. Some Democrats demand a full CBO score, others say White House analysis and Joint Committee on Taxation score are enough.
Top House Democrats are confident that they can pass their massive reconciliation spending bill Friday after major progress in their negotiations late Thursday – but a few moderate holdouts with procedural demands remain, and their votes will be key to whether Democrats can indeed get the bill through.
Reps. Josh Gottheimer, D-N.J., Jared Golden, D-Maine, Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla., Kurt Schrader, D-Ore., and Ed Case, D-Hawaii, all signed a letter Tuesday demanding 72 hours to review the final bill text, "the proper CBO/JCT scoring information" and clearance with the Senate that the bill will not be changed once the House passes it.
There is a Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) score for the bill, but the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has released nothing, and it's not clear when it will.
So, have you been able to ascertain what is in BBB? I have not, I have been keeping up with live CSpan watching all the many arguments in regard to BBB. But, it's unfortunate much of the moderate's concerns are not being reported. There are most certainly more than Manchin and Sinema not happy with the bill, and may not vote yes...
Are you concerned about how this bill is being crammed to a vote without it being scored or in SOME cases not read by the Congressperson that must cast their vote?
Are you concerned that the Democrats have not as of yet said how this historic spending bill will be paid for? Or have you become complacent, and are content with just offering a big shrug to what Is going on in Washington?
As we talk about all that is in the past here at Hubpages -- it would appear our future is being planned for us, without us having any form of say to what that future will be.
Scoring will take time...
Nov. 9 (UPI) -- The Congressional Budget Office on Tuesday said estimates on the cost of the Build Back Better social spending bill are likely to be released piece by piece.
CBO Director Philip Swagel said the office will begin releasing estimates for portions of the bill as they are completed beginning as early as this week after Democrats reached a deal to hold a vote on the measure.
"The analysis of the bill's many provisions is complicated and CBO will provide a cost estimate for the entire bill as soon as practicable," Swagel wrote in a blog post on the CBO website.
Swagel said the office would provide advanced notice on when the full estimate for the bill would be released, but the timing could delay plans to hold a vote on the measure before Thanksgiving.

"No One that makes under $400,000 taxes will go up."
Biden’s Build Back Better will hike taxes on 30% of some middle-class families --- "President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better agenda would raise taxes on up to 30 percent of middle-class families, despite his campaign promises not to hike taxes on anyone making under $400,000 per year, according to a new analysis.
“Taking into account all major tax provisions, roughly 20 percent to 30 percent of middle-income households would pay more in taxes in 2022,” an analysis published late Thursday by the non-partisan Tax Policy Center found." https://nypost.com/2021/11/12/bidens-bu … -families/
THE MIDDLE CLASS GETS HIT -- THE RICH JUST GET RICHER...
"Build Back Better 2.0 Still Raises Taxes For High Income Households And Reduces Them For Others
In a new analysis, the Tax Policy Center estimates that the major tax changes in the latest version of President Biden’s Build Back Better plan would cut taxes on average for nearly all income groups in 2022. The exception: Those in the top 1 percent, who will make about $885,000 or more. They’d pay about $55,000 more than under current law. Those in the top 0.1 percent, who make about $4 million and up, would pay an additional $585,000 on average, a 5.9 percent reduction in their after-tax income.
Looking only at direct taxes—individual income taxes and payroll taxes—the plan also would cut 2022 taxes on average for every income group except those in the top 1 percent. The highest-income households would face roughly the same increase in direct taxes in 2022 as they would with all major provisions."

As most of you know, I support many of Trump’s initiatives and I defend him here on hubpages when he is unfairly criticized by the media and others. You may also know I did not vote for Trump or Hillary in the 2016 election. Now, after over one year in office, and the signing of the latest Omnibus...
