State-level reports are the best publicly available and timely data on child COVID-19 cases in the United States. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association are collaborating to collect and share all publicly available data from states on child COVID-19 cases. The definition of “child” case is based on varying age ranges reported across states (see report Appendix for details and links to all data sources).
COVID-19 cases among US children have reached the highest case count ever reported since the start of the pandemic. For the week ending December 30th, over 325,000 child COVID-19 cases were reported. This number is a 64% increase over the 199,000 added cases reported the week ending December 23rd and an almost doubling of case counts from the two weeks prior.
Nearly 7.9 million children have tested positive for COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic, representing over 1 in 10 US children. For the 21st week in a row child COVID-19 cases are above 100,000. Since the first week of September, there have been over 2.8 million additional child cases.
The age distribution of reported COVID-19 cases was provided on the health department websites of 49 states, New York City, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Since the pandemic began, children represented 17.4% of total cumulated cases. For the week ending December 30, children were 17.7% of reported weekly COVID-19 cases (children, under age 18, make up 22.2% of the US population).
A smaller subset of states reported on hospitalizations and mortality by age; the available data indicate that COVID-19-associated hospitalization and death is uncommon in children.
At this time, it appears that severe illness due to COVID-19 is uncommon among children. However, there is an urgent need to collect more data to assess the severity of illness related to new variants as well as the longer-term impacts of the pandemic on children, including ways the virus may harm the long-term physical health of infected children, as well as its emotional and mental health effects.
Summary of Findings (data available as of 12/30/21) :
Cumulative Number of Child COVID-19 Cases*
7,890,756 total child COVID-19 cases reported, and children represented 17.4% (7,890,756/45,294,534) of all cases
Overall rate: 10,484 cases per 100,000 children in the population
Change in Child COVID-19 Cases*
325,340 child COVID-19 cases were reported the past week from 12/23/21-12/30/21 (7,565,416 to 7,890,756) and children represented 17.7% (325,340/1,837,910) of the weekly reported cases
Over two weeks, 12/16/21-12/30/21, there was a 7% increase in the cumulated number of child COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic (523,891 cases added (7,366,865 to 7,890,756))
Cumulative Hospitalizations (24 states and NYC reported)*
Among states reporting, children ranged from 1.7%-4.1% of their total cumulated hospitalizations, and 0.1%-1.6% of all their child COVID-19 cases resulted in hospitalization
Cumulative Mortality (46 states, NYC, PR and GU reported)*
Among states reporting, children were 0.00%-0.27% of all COVID-19 deaths, and 5 states reported zero child deaths
In states reporting, 0.00%-0.02% of all child COVID-19 cases resulted in death.
Yeah...well, this demographic hasn't had enough FEAR placed in their lives yet (or in their Parents) It's their turn!
Schools are shutting down AGAIN, they MUST have all ages, falling in line, under their thumb, living in fear, otherwise it cuts into the profits!
My Doctor believes this variant is comparable to cold/flu and that it's in the process of morphing into cold/flu season.
It seems Omicron may be exactly what we needed, but that is not the dominant narrative.
We are relatively lucky in that our area is not quite as quick to go to remote learning as others are. However, I am fed up. The last time we were on remote learning and children could not even play on playgrounds, I could see a marked change in the development of our youngest (of 3) children.
Exactly. It can't dominate, that would defeat the agenda.
I am reading "COVID 19 The Great Reset" right now. It's not a long book, so should be done soon. There are some good concepts in it, but there would be big trade offs for sure. The WEF openly admits using the pandemic as a way to push its agenda.
I have yet to get to what I think may be the scariest parts, such as transhumanism. It is eery how often global leaders push policy that is clearly along the WEF's agenda

How do you feel about this statement? Personally with all the disinformation going around, such as the tit-for-tat argument around whether or not someone actually died from COVID-19 but being included in the death rate regardless, I'm having trouble formulating any clear thoughts on this COVID-19...
