I think the radio show guy was someone called "Quinn" who said "Liberalism generates the exact opposite of its stated intent. This is one more example. Oregon's legislatures believed decriminalizing drug usage would solve their drug usage problems. The exact opposite happened.
"In November 2020, voters overwhelmingly passed Measure 110. The Drug Addiction Treatment and Recovery Act secured 58% of the votes and decriminalized possession of Heroin, meth and fentanyl use is rampant and often visible on city streets. Portland police officers drive by homeless addicts buying and using.
The signs of drug addiction are actually increasing throughout the state, according to law enforcement sources. Oregon ranks second-highest among U.S. states for substance abuse with nearly one in five adults addicted. small amounts of hard drugs such as heroin, meth, cocaine and fentanyl. "

What a wonderful liberal way to handle a mammoth problem. Slap on a do-nothing bandaid, ignore, and actually encourage the problem to spread.
This kind of mindset is baffling.
I would call that approach stupid, idiotic or motivated by a desire to destroy Oregon.
Oregon is a Marxist/Liberal hell hole just like Washington, Califorina and New York.

Why do so many people want to blame drug dealers and not drug addicts?I ask this question because of something I saw yesterday. I saw a police officer taking away a 6 year old child for dealing drugs (obviously not a prison...6 year old kid after all). And I thought to myself, his circumstances put...

If Republican/Libertarian Ron Paul changed his position on the legality/illegality of recreational drugs how much would his support drop? Or would it, his support, increase?

The War on Drugs, is it lost?We have been fighting the war on drugs for decades but the problem is only getting worse. Did we lose the war on drugs? Prescription drugs seem to be more of a problem than the traditional illegal drugs. What do we do now?
