What are your thoughts on having Pride Parades that are advertised to children?

Advertised how? By what means? Pride parades are already advertised throughout various media. I suppose you could say that the advertising is already reaching some children

We recently had a gay pride parade that had a special section for children to march in and they were pushing for more kids.

Several big sponsors pulled out and the kids section was dropped.

Are these separate events for children only?

As far as general Pride parades, I've seen some disturbing photos and videos from these events, for example three men dressed in some sort of dog-themed bondage gear, kneeling on the ground to be up close and personal with a little girl, and a "dog park" area where men in dog fetish gear invited little kids to come in and play with them. Another was of children who were invited by scantily clad women to try out a stripper pole. There was also footage of a little girl watching a naked man who was jdancing, and a little boy wearing nothing but a pair of short-shorts who was twerking while being cheered and encouraged by a crowd of adults.

My gay/lesbian friends don't even go to Pride parades any more. They are tired of the fetishes and BDSM on display and it disturbs them to see kids there with adult-only displays going on.

You brought up an interesting question. It would seem we need to know more about if there are psychological problems from exposing young straight children to Homosexuality in the way of their celebration of a homosexual lifestyle.  I am sure there are many articles on this subject, but not sure about actual long-term studies.

I have been to adult pride parades, no place for young children in my view.

I don't see the issue as exposing young children to homosexuality, I see it as exposing children to sexually charged situations that are appropriate for adults only. Kids at those parades are exposed to adult nudity, strippers, BDSM, festishists, simulated sex acts, etc. It normalizes adult sexuality to children, which puts kids at risk. It's a form of grooming, whether it's heterosexual or homoesxual.
