ha, ha, ha . . . worth a good giggle with my morning coffee. It brings many thoughts to mind. I missed other than the seat what the cause was. Did it collapse leaving the post to do its damage?
I don't have enough familiarity with the Disney/DeSantis controversy to offer a view. Again, thanks for the morning giggle to get my day started. It sure beats the rain pounding outside my window now.
I couldn't tell what was causing the pain but it was most likely the seat post or something sharp under the seat. I'm laughing again just thinking about it. It's probably a 'guy' thing.

That was pretty good and humorous as well. Does that speak to generational values?
I think it does. Look again and note the generation that stands around and doesn't help—until Granny sent them running away.
*The devil on my shoulder says to hang around and watch the enlightened generations tell me how wrong I am.

I agree to a large extent!! I was thinking of posting an OP about values. I read an article from the John Locke Foundation of North Carolina emailed to me about fading American Values.
It referenced a Wall Street Journal with a survey done by the Wall Street Journal and NORC. It is hidden by a paywall, yet if you do have an online subscription it can be read. But, though I didn't have a subscription yesterday I was able to read it. So, maybe it was a first-time thing I encountered.
America Pulls Back From Values That Once Defined It, WSJ-NORC Poll Finds (Mar 27, 2023)
https://www.wsj.com/articles/americans- … s-df8534cd
Next, the first paragraph from it. "Patriotism, religious faith, having children and other priorities that helped define the national character for generations are receding in importance to Americans, a new Wall Street-NORC poll finds."
"
I don’t know if it “speaks to generational values”, but it certainly highlights an aspect of British values e.g. criminals don’t have guns in Britain, so they have to resort to things like hammers and knives; which is no match for an angry granny with a handbag.
I've seen that one. It is good. Granny must be an American expat.
GA
I don’t know? Do you have hell’s grannies in America?
Grannies wielding handbags, and young thugs (or anyone) being no match for a granny with a handbag has been part of British humour for a long time (decades); so I guess this incident isn’t unique in Britain – I have heard of other similar circumstances e.g. grannies protecting themselves with handbags in Britain, but this is the only incident I’ve seen captured on camera!

This woman is just --- some kind of wonderful...
I found it gratifying to see how the perpetrators all seemed to be left with an amusing way of walking, which I think they might be left with for a very long healing period.
In today's woke society, some thief probably sued and won money for pain and suffering.
Oh hell, there's a thought. Look where it might go:
The pain in each instance appeared intense. A male first-response might think of a kick-in-the-balls, but, the 'walk' (can't stop laughing at the mental image being described) with the clinched butt and tender-stepping, says it must have been a stronger jab than just sitting on a seat post (all the guys didn't sit down as hard as the first big guy did), so maybe the seat was rigged with a soring-loaded 'seat post poker'? Maybe even a pointed seat post?
That would be premeditated malice, surely that's a crime even a thief deserves protection from?
Yeah, that's the ticket. . . .

What does it mean when some people say "We are the product of our time".Our values, the way we live are mold by personal circumstances or there are more bigger structures which are beyond us that is why we are, the way we are?

Once again, the great stone head is now calling himself a scholar of economics. He tells us now that the economic turnaround would now "take time", while on the campaign trail he was telling us that it would occur overnight. On March 13th, there will be an assessment of the inflation...

Once a criminal always a criminal. That notion has a limit or it is a foregone conclusion. George has served his criminal punishment already? What wrong did he committed again that the law agents should murder him? It is significance in the eyes of the law and the international community. Any...
