What did Trump mean? "You'll never have to vote again."

He has never shied away from telling us exactly who he is and what he will do. Should we set more store in his "dictator on day one"?

If you actually want an answer it's going to take a lot more than that short quote.  Perhaps the 2 or 3 minutes preceding and following.  Context is everything, and you haven't given any at all.

Or are you just griping, throwing dirt when you have nothing else?

Here is the speech.  I feel like I lost a few IQ points listening to it trying to find the exact location of the quote in question.  His speeches should be about an hour shorter.

You can begin listening around the 1:00:00 mark.   In my opinion, there is no context before or after his comment about him "fixing" things so that will never have to vote again.

After that statement, he goes right into his conclusion...the whole  "we are a nation in decline" ...yada, yada, yada... Speaking in sing song, slurring so many words and odd changes of tone.  The whole speech was bizarre.

To me, he couldn't be more clear. If he wins this next election he does not plan to leave office.

Oh dear, so we have moved on from. J.D. Vance and cat ladies? Once again, this is nothing to concern yourself with. Trump needs Christians to vote in record numbers, in order to beat the cheat!
Four years of repair vs. four more years of despair.... and they never need vote again, if voting isn't their cup of tea --- so to speak!

What did Trump mean? "You'll never have to vote again."

I saw this and did not believe what I heard. The spin meisters are always trying to get you to believe a conspiracy theory or excuse or other contrary to what was clearly said and plainly heard.

I believe that Trump meant every word he said......

wildernessposted 6 weeks agoin reply to this

Do you think Trump believes he is immortal?

Then you will have to vote again.  Unless the US disappears; a distinct possibility if we put another warmonger into office.

Credence2posted 6 weeks agoin reply to this

He can still be a tyrant and a usurper of the democratic process and it does not necessarily imply that he considers himself immortal.

I prefer the Right and ability to vote regularly, no Presidential Candidate should say that "you won't need to vote again" to anyone, how ludicrous is that?

He dies.  Do we not vote then?  Or are you intentionally ignoring the meaning of his death re: never vote again?

          1. Credence2 profile image78
Credence2posted 6 weeks agoin reply to this

And how many years between now and when he actually dies? Are we all to expect not to need to vote during that time frame?

It was still a dumb thing for him to say regardless of how you want to spin it.

Have you watched the speech?  What does he mean when he says he'll have it "fixed" so good that they'll never have to vote again?

Does that mean that he'll have it fixed so good that upon his inevitable death his regime will continue to rule?  As we see in other dictatorial nations?

"Researchers say another reason there is little change after a dictatorial ruler dies in office is that top officials see no reason to change policies. Some countries have changed the constitution to permit them to extend their terms, sometimes by many years. Frantz says they use that method to give the appearance of democracy rather than using force to remain in power."

A dictator's death, rarely leads to regime change.

This is the situation in Hungary currently. Is this why Trump meets / consults with Victor Orban so often?  Learning just how to "fix" things?

It would be nice if we don't have to go through this dramatic division within the country every 4 years.

Maybe he plans on making us like North Korea, where the Presidency is inherited by someone within his family... rather than doing like the Democrats do and picking who-ever is the favorite with the Party elites, the donor class, as they say.

The United States of Trump... forever Trump... America 1st.

I can see how you would prefer something like that, better for your stress, not having to worry about the next election.  This is the last one.

      1. Credence2 profile image78
Credence2posted 6 weeks agoin reply to this

Yes, it might be nice to avoid the divisions, but the divisions based on current opposing factions are unavoidable. Our sides are so different, and there are clear delineation between red and blue and I don't believe that they can be reconciled, really, at this point. We are going to have our own revolution which will be bloodless if conservatives accept it.

What would be better for my stress is if Trump were consigned to eternal oblivion and MAGA scattered to the 4 winds. We are going to work hard toward that end this coming fall.

        1. Ken Burgess profile image72
Ken Burgessposted 6 weeks agoin reply to this

You aren't going to have a revolution, don't be silly...

You are going to have a subjugation event, that is all you are supporting and accomplishing...

This is what it looks like when "The West" steps down, steps aside, declines, whatever you want to frame our down-fall in...

The transition to China being the dominant and controlling central hub is now locked in, the future has shifted away from America and toward CHINA/BRICS...

America becomes an impoverished and subjugated nation, will take another decade, and a World War, but its done...

Even a Trump Presidency cannot undo the fact that Saudi Arabia and the UAE are now aligned with China & Russia, not America.

Pushing Russia into China's arms, cutting it off from all relations with Europe, the Biden Administration burned that bridge good.

Releasing hundreds of billions to Iran, giving them new life, so they can fund all those who are determined to destroy America throughout the Middle East.

Not getting that genie back in the bottle... not getting back the ten trillion more in debt he created... CBDC is coming... and their ability to control and subjugate.

You won't be having any revolution, enjoy the fruits of hardships ahead.

Exactly Ken.  If Kamala becomes President, God help America.  America will become much worse under her regime than Biden's regime.   I don't want her to be President.  I want Trump to be President.

            1. Ken Burgess profile image72
Ken Burgessposted 6 weeks agoin reply to this

The Biden Administration did more damage than anyone probably originally thought they could accomplish...

The Biden Administration killed the 'PetroDollar'... that became official this past June... we haven't even begun to feel the economic impact that is going to have.

The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and of course Iran joined with China and Russia, and a majority of the world's nations are looking to follow suit.  All want to trade with one another, excluding the use of the dollar and the SWIFT system when doing so.

And of course, we are backing two war efforts, which themselves are going to have economic and political fallout for America all over the globe.

And the Biden Administration fleeced America of 10 trillion dollars in new debt, which so devalues the dollar, that we will now have to pay 1 Trillion dollars per year JUST to pay the interest on that debt... starting in 2025.

Kamala being elected just means that the worst outcome of ALL the dire situations about to boil over is the most likely to occur... as it is a continuation of the incompetence and insanity of the current administration.

It makes my blood run cold to hear this man talk about "his beautiful Christians."

Jesus Christ did not die on the cross for anybody's Christians - beautiful or not.

But what really breaks my heart is people who call themselves "Christians" yet support a man like this one - nothing Christ-like about him.

Kind of makes you feel warm and fuzzy all over.

Not me,  just don't take on other enemies  or anything that involves violence and murder. Being against things, just joins the problem. Simply not being for things negative is good enough.

Warm and fuzzy... like the Bailouts in 2008.

Or like the 10 Trillion fleeced after the Pandemic.

Create a Panic... steal trillions... rinse... repeat... Americans get poorer, the top 1% get immensely wealthier... while Americans continue to fight one another over race, sex, ideology, as the government strips them of more rights and calls them domestic terrorists for trying to stop it.

When the US military Complex bombs 1/3 of the planet since World War 2. And force their centro banking worldwide on everyone by US fiat currency, military bases and policies.  Psychological operations (PSYOP) are operations to convey selected information and indicators to audiences to influence their motives and objective reasoning, and ultimately the behavior of governments, organizations, groups, and large foreign powers. Finally the chicken have come home to roost.

The apocalypse is a new kind of civil war, a world War,   wail many scrambling for a new kinds of French or American revolution of independence and individualism..Hoping it's  democracy, as if you think the US new immigrates is a problem, just 10 times that for the middle east and African by western colonization.

American like everyone to be like them. That's not happening anymore  Already BRICS has grown larger then the G7, in landmass, population,  economics, industrial, production, natural resources and so on. In the NATO church , you believe in it or not. All Empires collapse due to a lack of balance.  The US Blue and Red above all, they romantize their NATO church will save them or God has got their soul for backup.

Just leave my soul alone, it's the only one I got.

Otherwise I think American are no better or worse than anyone esle as world citizens.

All people are great if they strive to be.

              Q. How does this striving look?

              A. Self-guidance following personal / individual hopes, dreams, goals and ambitions based on interest and motivation:

The universal freedom of self-guided Free Will within boundaries provided by wisdom and common sense.

DJT meant that those Christians that do not like to get involved in politics, preferring to focus on a devotional way of life, will not be required to vote THE NEXT TIME AROUND because the nation will be on track and it won't be SO CRUCIAL!

    ~ of course.

PS It IS crucial this time around to vote for Trump even if you can't stand his undisciplined way of communicating.

His policies are sound for the running of a nation in our modern complicated world.

Maybe you know some  "christians" who "vote" their pocketbooks and judge achievements by how much their stock portfolio increases and don't vote in elections. Although this type of Christian probably does vote.

I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about Christians who don't want to cloud up their lives with the dreadful realm of politics, preferring to pray and meditate on a greater and more joyful reality.

Trump was pleading with Christians to vote this time around. Just this once, if it is difficult for you to become involved in political matters.
