American society is becoming more pluralistic.  Women, non-Caucasians, & those who were formerly marginalized, even demonized are gaining power & influence whether it is in the workplace, politics, or in other spheres of influence.  However, there are those who prefer to have society be the way it was in terms of racial & gender paradigms hence the topic of abortion, gender equality, affirmative action, & related topics.  What are your thoughts?

Great topic! With all the craziness going on, I love this subject.

Your observation highlights a critical and evolving aspect of American society. This shift, in my view, reflects a broader trend towards inclusivity and the redefinition of traditional power structures. However, this progress is not without resistance. Many who are accustomed to the old racial and gender paradigms feel unsettled by these changes, leading to contentious debates on issues like abortion, gender equality, and affirmative action.
These topics often become battlegrounds for competing visions of society—one that seeks to preserve a familiar status quo and another that pushes for greater equity and representation. The tension between these forces is a natural part of societal change, are they not,  where progress and resistance often coexist?

In my view, while resistance to change is very understandable, embracing pluralism and equality is crucial for a just society. The shift towards greater inclusivity is part of a broader human journey toward recognizing the inherent dignity and worth of all individuals, regardless of gender, race, or background. This path has been and will be fraught with challenges, but it ultimately leads to a more equitable and compassionate society.

The Constitution guarantees equality though the law.  We need to focus on applying the laws to every individual regardless of race, religion, appearance or belief, etc..

Now, that others are testing us to the max, is not fair. But I suppose we will have to put up with it until they get weary of being a dog, or a drag queen or the opposite sex, or devilish, or freakishly provocative in the myriad of ways we observe today.

        Patience.

      Equality is good.
      Equity is not.

Opportunity is good... based on Merit and Ability
Quotas are bad...  they ignore Merit and Ability

Jobs being open to all is good... when tests & standards are the same.
Its bad when there are different tests and standards based on sex.

      Its simple stuff.

We had grown as a society to protect children... but today we allow them to be prayed upon by the mentally deranged that believe allowing for minors to have sex change ops is a good thing.

We had grown as a society to eradicate racism allowed by law... but today we allow our regulations and laws to be based on DEI and Equity which according to their own definitions is straight up racism.

For those of us who are rational we can see things have become irrational.

If getting rid of racism in society was a good thing to shoot for in the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. then it is wrong to accept DEI and CRT today.

If protecting children from pedophiles and psychological trauma and not allowing them to make 'adult' decisions legally was a good thing in the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. then it is wrong to allow them to harm themselves with irreversible sex change drugs and operations today.

And so on... And so on...

A person either recognizes we are collapsing into degeneracy and full fledged lunacy, or one does not... trying to justify support for what is going on today is just as nuts as accepting it and contributing to societal collapse.

Thats like saying, reason, facts, law and order have had their turn.

And now that we have come to a place where all people can share equally in opportunity, liberty, and prosper according to their abilities... lets trash the whole-fn-thing because finally... We CAN!!!

The world is quickly turning into a sewer of hostility, war, lawlessness, discontent and destruction.   The people in control of the country today have helped us arrive here... they will only continue us on the path we have been on the last 4 years... there is no 'hope and change' in a Harris Presidency, there is only 'More of the Same... only worse' that will come.

Let's follow through on what their plans are, shall we?

Hillary, Michelle and Barack speak in flowery ways, each one tying a pink ribbon on the concept of helping our neighbor, giving to others, sharing, doing with little, being humble, not being show-offy or proud. They lecture the awe-struck supporters about the value of being virtuous in these ways and smile patiently at the clapping, admiring crowd.

But as Barack Obama walked off, he waved a strange wave: Repeatedly, he held up his hand and then, as if to cancel the acceptance his open palm communicated, he snapped his hand forward with an abrupt downward stroke.
Now, as I sit here typing with my recovering hand, I realize I have become very aware of hands. So maybe I noticed something others would not.

But wave down after every wave up, he did.
