The Big race and elections. What about local/state news?

Every now and then curiosity inspired by being encouraged to look beyond MSM news for information I seek out local/state news. I get newsletters from three local/state news sources for Dallas, Pittsburgh, and Los Angeles, though I live in California. Plus, I get local news for San Diego area where I live. Today, I tend to look at the swing/battle ground states.

What is in the news today? Just a few are . . .

‘PA Fair Elections,’ tied to powerful conservative groups, pushes to remove people from voter rolls by 90.5 WESA Pittsburgh's NPR News Station (Sept 28, 2024)

"Editor’s note: This story is the second in a series about the “election integrity” movement of people who claim recent elections are illegitimate and are preparing to challenge the election result in Pennsylvania this November.

In June, Berks County resident Karl Lampart began emailing county commissioners with a concern: He said he had identified more than 1,300 people who, he believed, should not be allowed to vote.

“If you have any questions or wish to discuss, please feel free to contact me,” Lampart wrote in a June 19 email to Berks County Commissioner Michael Rivera. “Dirty voter rolls is the first step to dirty elections.”

Polls show Harris with narrow lead over Trump in Michigan. It's still a virtual toss-up. by Detroit Free Press (Sept 27, 2024)
    https://www.freep.com/story/news/politi … 392001007/

"With less than six weeks to go until the Nov. 5 general election, polling data suggests Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris is maintaining a narrow lead on Republican former President Donald Trump in Michigan and a couple of other important swing states, as well as nationally.

It's still close enough, however, that the race should be considered a virtual toss-up."

Is Arizona a swing state in the 2024 presidential election? Here's what to know by azcentral (Sept 26, 2024)
    https://www.azcentral.com/story/news/po … 381235007/

"With just weeks to go until Election Day, few states are more politically polarized in the 2024 presidential election than Arizona.

Arizona has 11 electoral college votes, placing it in a tie for 14th-most votes among states. Those 11 votes are up for grabs and crucial to secure a victory for either Democrat Kamala Harris or Republican Donald Trump.

Both candidates know Arizona is a key state in their path to the White House and are ramping up campaign efforts across the state. Harris and Trump have already made numerous stops in Arizona, and Harris is set to make another campaign stop in Phoenix on Sept. 27."

    Some questions of curiosity?

Speculation as to if people pay more attention to their local/state news sources. Yes, we here in the forum look at MSM, though that could be said includes the extremes such as CNN & Fox News, but what about Mr./Ms./Mrs. average? Do they go that far?

Is local newspapers read that much today? Or, is TV the main source for Mr./Ms./Mrs. average? How about your social circles. Where do they get their news from?

    Thoughts, criticisms, accolades, and/or commentary?

    TV
    Radio
    Newsletters
    Social media
    Newspapers

These are all used by all people at different points in their days.
This variety of news sources is what makes us very keyed into politics as though following the latest rock bands.

But many kids (teens- young adults) are confused. They hear how bad Trump is, but somehow know he will he save the country. Others shut their ears/eyes to all political matters.

Its a terrible world for kids.
