I have been glued to the t.v. throughout; I love this stuff!!
From the pomp and circumstance, to the prayer services. From the
swearing-in, to the First couple's first dance. Against all odds, at the will of the people, and by the grace of God!
True, made more enjoyable by the fact that the man I've supported, backed, and continually prayered for, has made his way back into the White House!
May peace, prosperity and harmony prevail!
    God Bless America!

Thoughts? Any highlight(s) or stand-out moments for you?

Yes I was watching when the woke female Reverend spoke at the Washington Cathedral Prayer Service.
Her final words were unnecessary and uncalled for, but her TDS got the best of her!

I believe that politics should not come from the pulpit. A church should be a place for spiritual growth, unity, and reflection, not a platform for partisan rhetoric. While it's common for religious leaders to address moral and social issues tied to faith, directly targeting individuals or promoting divisive political messages can alienate congregants and detract from the core mission of the church. In my view,  Ministers should focus on fostering inclusivity and guiding their congregation in applying shared values to broader societal challenges, rather than engaging in political discourse. She could have requested to meet with the President to share her personal views.

It wasn't politics. It was a Christian message of mercy.  Echoing the teachings of Jesus and calling out Trump's cruelty, ignorance, and bigotry to his face, Bishop  Budde delivered a sermon for the ages. She stared down authoritarian fascism and said 'Not today'.      Maybe that's why it missed the mark with Trump's followers...Jesus showed mercy to the marginalized, sinners, and those in need.  Go figure, Jesus was woke.

There was nothing "christian" about anything which came out of her mouth toward the end. No gay person should "fear for their lives". Trump has never given any gay individual any reason for concern. Also, if you break into our Country, you've committed a crime. If you rape, maim, kill, while also here illegally, you are the worst kind of individual/criminal!! No more passes, no more sanctuary, no more looking  the other way! Too many American families, such as Laken Riley's, have paid the price.

Rev. Queen Bee Woke should take her politics to the streets, they don't belong in the Lord's House.

This view comes across as rude and hyperbolic, oversimplifying a complex situation by framing it in an overly dramatic way. To claim Bishop Budde’s sermon was purely a “Christian message of mercy” while calling out Trump’s behavior as "cruelty, ignorance, and bigotry" feels more like a personal attack than an opportunity for constructive dialogue.

Labeling Trump as embodying “authoritarian fascism” doesn’t contribute to understanding the issues—it escalates tensions and reduces an important conversation to a political weapon. It’s also dismissive of those who might support Trump by suggesting they “missed the mark” on mercy as if there’s only one correct way to show it. Mercy, as Jesus preached, involves understanding and reaching out to others, not vilifying them from a pulpit. This approach might make a point for some, but it’s alienating and fails to foster genuine conversation.

Amen to that.  She was doing so good, up until she wasn't, again... she couldn't help herself, it's the power (or curse) of TDS.

Bishop Budde directed her sermon specifically at Trump, addressing him as President from the pulpit. Her comments quickly turned into a liberal rant, something many liberals seem to feel entitled to do. In my opinion, this is an unattractive and hypocritical trait that is all too common among them today. They push their views as if they are the only correct ones. Bishop Budde, unfortunately, is no exception—she clearly displays symptoms of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). Each and every point she attempted to make has another side, a side that was not heard. Perhaps she should take her political views to the streets rather than using the house of God as a platform for them.

I believe Trump handled the issue well. Placating in this situation was definitely the best approach.

Yesterday's festivities were absolutely incredible—what a day to remember! Every moment was filled with joy and heartfelt pride for our country. From the touching moments shared among supporters to the powerful and inspiring speech at the swearing-in, it all resonated deeply with me. His words were strong, meaningful, and a true reminder of what it will take to make our nation great once again. Honestly, I can't even pick one moment that stood out because there were so many!

If I had to choose, though, it would be hearing President Trump share his experience with God. I was proud and pleased to hear him speak so personally about feeling saved for a great task—to Make America Great Again. The entire day gave me renewed faith that patriotism is alive and well in America. It felt like a fresh start—the sun seemed brighter, the air felt clearer, and there was a renewed sense of hope and unity. I couldn't be prouder of our new president!

I agree Shar, hard to pick a favorite moment, there were so many. I too love that God was invited back in! Watching J.D.'s young kids was heartwarming. I have a young granddaughter that loves her fingers too, whenever she is nervous or tired, it is hard to keep them out of her mouth! The parade, the military performances... loved it all!
