democrats have a problem.  They want boys to play in girl's sports.  This is done because most democrats don't know what is a woman.  A liberal democrat being interviewed by the US Senate was asked what is a woman and she could define it.  Republicans have no problem.  A woman is what a woman has been since the beginning of time.  A human, female with XX chromosomes.  Only a person with these characteristics should be playing in women's sports.

It is amazing how democrats are willing to die on the transgender women hill.  Liberal states are willing to lose federal funding, be sued for title IX violations, have women refuse to compete against men, and more.  This is because they have no idea what is a woman.

This is a losing political issue for democrats.  Latest polls show approximately 80% of Americans don't want men playing in women sports.  Still, the democrats persist in this folly.

Riley Gains said it best.  “Women's sports should not be a place where mediocre male athletes can come to become champions.”

    It's true.  Yet, democrats persist.

Women's athletics were designed for women to compete against women.  There are not that many female athletic scholarships compared to men.  They shouldn't be given to men who think they are women.  They should be given to females with XX chromosomes.

Young girls have been forced to change in locker rooms in front of males.  If there has been an athletic tie, the decision has automatically been given to the man.  No matter what body part a male has removed or what drugs he takes, he will always be a male with XY chromosomes.

When will the democrats stop this insanity?  When will they acknowledge that a man who thinks he is a woman is not a woman?  When will democrats start protecting females who play sports?

This is an issue perpetuated by right wing media.   In reality, in real life most people don't give this a second thought because it can be handled, in the rare instances that it occurs, at the local level.

The stock market is crashing... Time to  talk about the five transgendered folk who want to play sports...

The democrats war against females who play sports is not going to be ignored.

It is not going to be pushed aside and forgotten.  This is an issue perpetuated by the democrat party.  The ones who don't know what is a woman.

Young girls should not be forced to change in front of males.  If it is not a big deal then democrats should acknowledge what is a female and work to keep men from playing in women sports.

democrats dismissing this huge injustice against females who play sports is not going to go away.  It is time to grasp the reality of the difference between what is a male and what is a female.

Letting localities handle these issues doesn't mean anyone's dismissing it... A local school district is more than able and empowered to set their own policy within the laws of their state.

When the country is headed for a recession, people are really focusing on  who wants to play for the local rec league... I couldn't care less. Let the people who run it deal with it.

Deflecting from the issues is typical.

It's important to address this issue for all female athletes.

Title IX was not designed for men with gender dysphoria.  It was meant for females with XX chromosomes.  School districts are cheating them out of their athletics achievements as well as scholarship opportunities and more.

I don't know why the democrat party hates female athletes so much.

My wife was a high school and college female athlete and my daughter played sports in high school.  If they had to deal with what girls have to deal with today, I would have been enraged.

This is just plain wrong and needs to be addressed on a national level because it impacts female athletes on a national level.

Again, Trump has set this country's economy on fire... No one has their mind on five transgenders who want to play some sport somewhere... Small government, remember? This can be handled on a local level.  You folks want the federal government involved in absolutely every aspect of life...

Yeah, again, you deflect.  Can't discuss the issue.  Try to minimize the impact of females athletes.  This is the way of the democrat party.  The lack of knowledge of liberals on just about everything can be extremely funny or just plain annoying.

In this case it is just plain annoying.

Let me explain, Title IX protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance. Title IX states:

No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.

Since this is based on federal financial assistance, it is a federal issue.  Title IX has been around since 1972.

"Women's disc golfer refuses to face transgender competitor, days after fencer kneels in protest

'I most likely ended my career and that is okay because this is bigger than me,' she said"

              https://www.foxnews.com/sports/womens-d … ls-protest

Why should this girl have to end her career because a school forces her to play against a male?

Most of the people who dismiss this issue are those who were not high school or college athletes.  I can't imagine anything more unfair than to permit males to play against females.  I also can't imagine supporting something so outrageous and acting as if it is nothing.

It's time democrats begin to respect female athletes.  It's time democrats no longer force them to change in front of males.  It's time that the awards and scholarships for females don't get taken away by males.

I suppose it is something only a female athlete would understand and is beyond the liberal left's ability to comprehend.

              Like so many things.

The democrats have gone from crazy to insane on the transgender topic.

IN Colorado, they are bringing a bill up for vote.  The bill would add definitions of "deadnaming" and "misgendering" to acts of coercive control that judges may consider in custody decisions.

You are twisting it. This is not about parental rights whatsoever.   It simply says that a parent supporting a child's gender identity cannot be used against that  parent in a custody battle.

That's it.  Meanwhile... The stock market continues to spiral downward and more of folks retirement funds are obliterated by Trump's tariffs.

Good luck to divorcing parents who have a trans child... like all five of them... I trust that judges in their cases will act appropriately.

Interesting how you deflect and demean this topic.

You are wrong.  It DOES interfere with parental rights.

the bill "fundamentally oversteps the proper role of government" and "threatens parental rights."

"This may allow a parent who may be navigating an incredibly complex issue with their child to lose custody for not affirming their gender identity they may not understand, agree with or believe is in the child's best interest," Richardson said. "This is not protecting children. It's weaponizing the courts against parents."

The government has NO right to tell people how to parent their children.  If they don't agree with the transgender of their child and seek help for it this is their right as parents.

    This girl states the truth

"Why this high school athlete is joining the race to get men out of women’s sports
I don't want to lose races (and scholarship opportunities) to male athletes who shouldn’t be running against me in the first place

I’m a high school athlete, and I run – for the same reasons most high school girls run: because it’s fun, because I’m fast, because I enjoy the competition, and because I know my athletic prowess opens a path to scholarships. High school track offers me great opportunities for all of that.

But I don’t run to be frustrated, to be disappointed, and to keep losing races (and scholarship opportunities) to male athletes who shouldn’t be running against me in the first place.

The state of Washington is enforcing policies that present me with all those hurdles when I step out on the track knowing I’m going to be racing against a male who should be competing against boys – a male with a man’s strength and speed, who suddenly moves into a position where he’s virtually guaranteed to win every race he enters.

Title IX is supposed to ensure that women and girls have a fair chance to compete (and win) in every sport without facing the physical and biological edge men would bring to our contests.

As a senior who’s likely to be running against a male student in the near future, I believe Washington’s policy isn’t fair. So do a lot of our state’s high school coaches. So do a growing number of other people (in both political parties).

I’M A 3-SPORT HIGH SCHOOL FEMALE ATHLETE IN MAINE – I SHOULDN’T HAVE TO COMPETE AGAINST BIOLOGICAL MALES

In fact, those numbers are growing fast enough that President Donald Trump issued an executive order recognizing that Title IX prohibits males from competing in women’s sports.

Additionally, just recently, in the southern part of my state, the Kennewick School Board – caught between the president’s executive order and our state officials’ unwavering policies – voted 4-0 to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education. The board says my state’s school superintendent, the state’s Office of Public Instruction, and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association are all in violation of the president’s order and Title IX… and the board is asking for "urgent" federal intervention.

The board described what happened at last year’s state 400-meter championship as an example of what’s wrong. A male from Spokane, at the time a junior who had run for the high school boys’ team, now identifies as a girl and easily defeated the young women competing against him. That wasn’t much of a surprise – according to Athletic.net, he’s won every 400-meter he’s entered since he first decided to transition.

HERE'S THE MESSAGE PRESIDENT TRUMP JUST SENT WITH HIS ORDER KEEPING MEN OUT OF WOMEN'S SPORTS

Funny thing: The 400-meter race is one I’m competing in this semester, so I know what to expect when I run against this student, now a senior. My years of hard work, faithful practice, and personal sacrifices will come up against his anatomical advantages, and I’ll lose – every time.

Democratic lawmaker likens trans sports bans to racial segregationVideo
The Kennewick School Board, quoting from the president’s executive order, called that "demeaning, unfair, and dangerous." I agree and have now filed my own complaint with the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights through my attorneys with Alliance Defending Freedom. Another female athlete and I are asking administration officials to investigate our state’s violation of our Title IX protections, and those of all the other women student-athletes in Washington.

It’s not an unreasonable request. For 50 years, Title IX has guaranteed high school and college students an equal opportunity to enjoy the benefits of education (including sports) regardless of sex. The law is supposed to ensure that women and girls have a fair chance to compete (and win) in every sport without facing the physical and biological edge men would bring to our contests.

DEMOCRATS HAVE LOST THEIR WAY ON WOMEN’S SPORTS – AND HERE'S THE POLITICAL PRICE THEY'LL PAY

Maine high school student calls out trans athlete policies: 'It's okay to speak up'Video
Right now, that fairness is out the window. The state officials monitoring women’s sports seem to believe a leopard can run as fast as a cheetah – after all, they’re both cats with spots.

We keep hoping they’ll come around to seeing things differently, but for now, the clock is ticking on our request. The spring semester and track season are already half over. We’re hoping the Office for Civil Rights will jump on this and look into what’s happening as soon as possible.

I know there’s a lot of political pressure on this issue. Helping people understand why we need to protect girls’ sports may prove to be as difficult as defeating a male out on the track. But this is about fairness – not just for me, but for all women. So, yes, we may have a fight on our hands.

But we’re not going to run.

At last, those in the UK are willing to embrace reality and not be controlled by small segment of individuals with mental health issues.

"UK Supreme Court issues landmark ruling on legal definition of woman
Women’s rights groups celebrated ruling outside UK Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom unanimously ruled Wednesday that a woman is someone born biologically female, a move that now excludes transgender women from the legal definition of a woman.

Trans women can be excluded from some single-sex spaces and groups under the U.K. Equality Act, the five judges of the top court ruled. These spaces and groups include changing rooms, homeless shelters, swimming areas and medical or counseling services provided only to women.

The ruling means that even a transgender person with a certificate that recognizes them as female should not be considered a woman for equality purposes.

But Justice Patrick Hodge said its ruling "does not remove protection from trans people," who are "protected from discrimination on the ground of gender reassignment."

"Interpreting ‘sex’ as certificated sex would cut across the definitions of ‘man’ and ‘woman’ ... and, thus, the protected characteristic of sex in an incoherent way," Hodge said. "It would create heterogeneous groupings."

Women’s rights groups celebrated the ruling outside the court.

"Everyone knows what sex is and you can’t change it," said Susan Smith, co-director of For Women Scotland, which brought the case. "It’s common sense, basic common sense and the fact that we have been down a rabbit hole where people have tried to deny science and to deny reality and hopefully this will now see us back to, back to reality."

  6. Sharlee01 profile image85

Mike,   You make a strong and very common-sense case that resonates with a growing majority of Americans who are concerned about fairness and biological reality in women’s sports. I agree, this isn’t about hate or exclusion; it’s about protecting opportunities for biological females, opportunities that were hard-won over decades of advocacy for women's rights and equality. When young women train their entire lives for a scholarship or a podium spot, they deserve to compete against other biological females, not against males who retain the physiological advantages of male puberty, no matter what hormones they take later.

It's astonishing that Democrats continue to push this issue, even as polls consistently show most Americans, across party lines, disagree with them. The idea that we can’t even define what a woman is without political controversy is absurd. It’s not complicated: a woman is an adult human female, with XX chromosomes. That definition has worked since the beginning of civilization, and it still does.

Riley Gaines is absolutely right. Allowing biological males into women’s sports isn’t inclusivity—it’s exploitation. It undermines the purpose of Title IX, hurts young women, and devalues their hard work. And what’s worse, this ideology is now affecting locker rooms and privacy, making girls uncomfortable and forcing them into situations they never signed up for.

This is not a fringe issue. It’s mainstream, it’s common sense, and the sooner politicians start recognizing that, the sooner we can get back to policies that protect real equality—not this upside-down version that sacrifices girls and women on the altar of ideology.

Let's frame the Dems stance accurately.

Democrats want to leave the issue of trans athletes  to state and local governments.

The messaging has been spearheaded by Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.)...

Baldwin, the first openly gay person elected to the Senate has stated:

"Republicans in Washington are saying they know better than parents and local school districts," she said in a statement. "They are wrong. I trust parents, schools and local sports leagues to make these decisions for their children"

I think the democrats are wrong.

I wonder why the democrats hate women so much.  I also wonder why they are unable to comprehend the reality that a transgender women is a male.  Like one girl said, "If you're really a woman, why do you have to have the word trans?"

      Makes perfect sense.

It is a great evil to let boys play in women's sports.  It is wrong to let boys have records that should be held by females.  It is wrong to let boys take scholarships designed to go to females.

It's time the federal government protect the rights of female athletes to not participate against men in their chosen sport.

It has nothing to do with hating anyone and everything to do with letting the state of Maine handle their TWO cases of teenage transgender athletes... I don't think the federal government needs to be involved.

All this for two transgender teens in Maine?   Barbie is a clown..

We've got her and Trump ignoring a SCOTUS ruling, the markets tanking and tariff chaos daily ...so what do they do? Drag out the trans issue... It just doesn't pack the punch it used to .  It's a look here not there...

I think this is a bigger issue than you realize.

Females make up over 50% of the population.

Those who want to play sports should not be forced to share a locker room with a male, put their health and safety at risk because they are forced to compete against a male, have records given to males instead of females.

          I hope this lawsuit succeeds.

Again, anyone who was a female athlete, like my wife and daughter, feel very strongly about this issue.

Trump made a promise to stop men from competing in women's sports, and I, for one, expect him to follow through on that. He hasn’t ignored the Supreme Court on this issue. The Attorney General has stated that her department has attempted to facilitate the return of the gang member in question, but it’s ultimately up to the El Salvadoran government to agree to release him. So far, their president has refused, and under El Salvador’s laws and sovereignty, he has the right to do so. The Supreme Court used the word “facilitate,” and the AG has indeed made an effort to comply with that directive.

No, the Trump administration has done nothing to facilitate Garcia's return from El Salvador despite court orders.

A federal judge, Paula Xinis, has repeatedly criticized the Trump administration for its failure to take any meaningful actions to facilitate the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly deported to a harsh prison in El Salvador. Despite multiple court orders, including a clear directive from the U.S. Supreme Court to "facilitate" his release and return, the administration has been described by the judge as having done "nothing at all" toward this goal.

In terms of the two transgender teens in some sort of recreational sport in Maine...what happened to "states rights". What happened to "small government"?  Lol... What happened to the idea of, if you're unhappy with your local government you vote them out, that is your recourse... You know, all the talking points the Maga folks regularly drag out?    Trump and his bloated ego are on a power trip against this governor.  It's an issue for Maine, the rest of us aren't really concerned.

Hopefully, this action will put an end to men participating in women’s sports. I will respect whatever outcome arises from this lawsuit.

In April 2025, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi filed a federal lawsuit against the state of Maine over its policy allowing transgender girls to compete in girls’ and women’s school sports. The Department of Justice argues that Maine’s policy violates Title IX—the federal law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in federally funded education programs.

This lawsuit follows President Trump’s February 2025 executive order titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” which mandates that sex-based classifications in athletics be based on biological sex at birth. The administration contends that allowing athletes to compete based on gender identity undermines the rights of cisgender female athletes and creates unfair competition. Attorney General Bondi is showing real courage in challenging the current interpretation of Title IX. This case may very well set a new legal precedent—and could ultimately reach the Supreme Court.

As for the separate matter involving the migrant gang member who was mistakenly deported: I’ve already shared all I intend to on that topic. In my view, the DOJ acted in good faith to follow the Supreme Court’s instructions, and the issue now seems moot. Perhaps the Court will consider refining the language in its ruling, but from where I stand, the Attorney General complied fully with the directive.

I fully support the Justice Department’s lawsuit to enforce a strict interpretation of Title IX, where "sex" is defined based on biological sex at birth rather than gender identity. I am particularly pleased to see the new Attorney General take such a bold stance in this case. It’s long overdue that we stand up for the integrity of women’s sports and ensure fair competition. Allowing biological males to compete against women undermines opportunities for female athletes and distorts the very purpose of Title IX. I also stand behind President Trump’s policy that ensures male athletes do not have an unfair advantage in women’s sports. I hope this case sends a clear message that we need to protect women’s sports and uphold the principles of fairness.
