President Trump secured the border in unprecedented fashion.

CBS immigration reporter Camilo Montoya-Galvez: “Typically, when we go to the U.S./Mexico border, we at least see one group of people who are trying to cross into the U.S. illegally. We did not see a single migrant.”

The law requires illegal immigrants arrested or charged with theft or violence to be detained — honoring the memory of Laken Riley, a Georgia college student brutally murdered by an illegal immigrant released into the country.

Yes, I believe President Trump is performing his duties exceptionally well. I'm thoroughly pleased with his leadership, and I hope that the extensive list of his accomplishments helps others understand why I voted for him and continue to support his presidency. It's genuinely challenging to keep up with his daily achievements; his energy and drive are truly remarkable. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he'll be present at the upcoming meeting between President Zelensky and President Putin on Thursday.

May 13, 2025 --- Today, during his visit to Saudi Arabia on May 13, 2025, President Trump secured a monumental investment commitment from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Initially set at $600 billion, the Crown Prince pledged to increase Saudi investments in the United States to a potential total of $1 trillion. This announcement was made at the U.S.-Saudi Investment Forum in Riyadh, where President Trump stated, "With this trip, we're adding over $1 trillion more in terms of investment into our country and buying our products". Reuters

The pledged investments span various sectors, including:

Defense: The United States and Saudi Arabia finalized an extensive arms package valued at nearly $142 billion, marking the largest defense cooperation in U.S. history. This deal includes contracts with over a dozen American defense companies, covering air and missile defense systems, space and maritime capabilities, and comprehensive training programs.
      Reuters

Technology: Saudi Arabia's AI startup, Humain, announced a strategic partnership with U.S. tech companies Nvidia and AMD to develop AI data centers and infrastructure. This collaboration aims to build AI facilities powered by U.S. chips, reflecting the kingdom's drive to diversify its economy and become a global hub for AI .
      Reuters

Energy and Infrastructure: Investments are planned in U.S. energy infrastructure and data centers. Additionally, American firms are set to invest in Saudi projects such as King Salman International Airport and King Salman Park, fostering mutual economic growth.

These developments underscore President Trump's commitment to strengthening international partnerships and boosting the U.S. economy. His proactive approach continues to yield significant results on the global stage.

I appreciate how much work you put into this thread--- I will be back to add to your list...

I think what is so refreshing we actually have a president after having an individual in cognitive decline run the country for four years.

Trump may not be in cognitive decline. He is, however, a convicted multiple felon and sex offender.

No amount of posted text will change that fact.

    • Meeting with Syrian leader: Earlier Wednesday, Trump met with Syrian leader Ahmad al-Sharaa, a former jihadist who led the ouster of the Assad regime. The meeting in Riyadh came a day after Trump said he planned to lift sanctions on Syria — a major change in US foreign policy.

    • Historic deals: The US signed several defense and economic deals with Saudi Arabia, as Trump and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman highlighted the countries’ deepening ties.

    • Ukraine war talks: Trump continued to express interest in traveling to Turkey for a possible high-stakes meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying Wednesday that Putin would “like me to be there” and it remains “a possibility.”

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. What has become abundantly clear to me is that Trump is a man who wants peace and prosperity for America and the world.  And he is willing to work for it.

      Shar,

I find it disturbing that the left can't be happy for the achievements of President Donald Trump.  Our country is benefiting.  The world is benefiting.

Are they so riddled with TDS they can't be happy for our country?  I often wonder if the left does hate the United States.  Much of their behavior illustrates it.

People don't hate America just because they disagree with one party over the other. Comments like this illustrates a misunderstanding of this truth.

Along that line of thought this year as an independent voter I have been reading different sources that are not particularly mainstream media while some are really out there. However, the link next goes to a non-partisan online magazine I thought I would share.

I agree with you, and I don’t use the term lightly, but I do believe there’s some truth to the idea that “TDS” is real. And to be clear, I’m not talking about every person who criticizes Trump. Honest disagreement is essential in a free society. But when someone absolutely refuses to acknowledge clear benefits, like improving economic indicators, stronger diplomatic stances, or foreign policy wins, simply because they’re tied to Trump, then it starts to look less like political opposition and more like emotional refusal.

I also agree with your point: Are they so riddled with TDS they can't be happy for our country? It really does feel that way at times. When someone is more upset that Trump gets credit than they are happy about the country's progress, it makes you question their priorities. It’s not a stretch to wonder, as you said, whether some have grown to resent the very idea of American success, at least when it comes under leadership they despise. Sadly, much of their behavior does seem to suggest that hatred for one man has bled into disdain for the country itself.

To me, this kind of thinking, if you can call it that, feels nonsensical. I genuinely find it hard to understand. Over time, I’ve grown comfortable using the term “TDS,” not to be harsh, but because it captures something real. And frankly, it feels like a more restrained way to describe a mindset that defies common sense.

I get where you're coming from.  After the last few years, it's hard not to be wary of what's behind the curtain. That said, I guess I’m choosing to lean into what I’m seeing right now and be cautiously hopeful. I’ve watched a lot of hand-wringing over the years that led to nothing but sore hands and missed opportunities. Sometimes I think we talk ourselves into despair before giving anything a real chance to play out. So for now, I’m just watching with an open mind and hoping for something solid to come from it.
