I created this thread as a place to share rhetoric that people see as relevant. By rhetoric, I mean unproven or nonsensical accusations that deserve to be called out. Not all rhetoric is blatant—sometimes it’s less obvious and hidden within a statement. To give everyone an idea, here’s an example of what I consider poorly constructed rhetoric.

"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said on the House floor Friday that the resolution passed honoring Charlie Kirk pushes a “legacy of bigotry,” despite his “horrific” assassination.

Ocasio-Cortez was one of 58 Democrats to vote against the resolution.

“Charlie Kirk's assassination was a horrific and vile attack, an incident of political violence. And condemning the depravity of Kirk's brutal murder is a straightforward matter, one that is especially important to help stabilize an increasingly unsafe and volatile political environment where everyday people feel more at risk,” she said.

“The majority proceeded with a resolution that brings great pain to the millions of Americans who endured segregation, Jim Crow, and the legacy of bigotry today,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.

She said Kirk’s “rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans, far from the ‘working tirelessly to promote unity' asserted by the majority in this resolution.”

“We continue to pray for Mr. Kirk's family and loved ones in the wake of this terrible act. I am thinking, especially of his children and his wife, whose grief cannot be measured,” Ocasio-Cortez also said. "   Fox News

My view is this: first she condemns violence, then she turns around and uses rhetoric and insults that act as a dog whistle, potentially stirring hate and even more violence. I can only hope the Democrats continue with this kind of rhetoric and dishonesty, because it will only force more people to face the reality of what their political party has truly become.    Keep on keepin’ on!

Now that you brought it up--- I was going to post a photo of her, but thought twice.  Yes, when I had a look at the current photo, she had put on a lot of weight.

She is an object of humor in the democrat party.

The leader of the democrats in Congress,  Hakeem Jeffries, a Muslim, voted to support the Charlie Kirk day of recognition.

      Isn't that interesting?

It’s very interesting. Jeffries has been clear that he disagrees with Kirk’s ideology, yet he consistently opposes all forms of violence. His vote, therefore, appears to be a demonstration of principle rather than political alignment. I imagine some Democrats wrestled with the decision, damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

I started this thread as a space to highlight both subtle and overt rhetoric that I believe deserves attention. These are the kinds of statements that make blatant accusations and have the potential to spread discord.

"She said Kirk’s “rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans, far from the ‘working tirelessly to promote unity' asserted by the majority in this resolution.” AOC

Kirk did just the opposite.  In my view, this fits AOC to a tee.  This is the very type of speech that feeds discord.

She has her right to express her views and opinions on Kirk... Remember the first amendment, free speech?

Freedom of speech was intended to be used for some benefit.

Jeffries is a Baptist, not a Muslim
