Can Obama keep a promise?

“Too often bills are rushed through Congress and to the president before the public has the opportunity to review them,” the Obama-Biden campaign website states. “As president, Obama will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days.”

You either tell the truth or you don't.

Can you trust a person who can't tell the truth?
Can anyone logically defend this statement in light of current actions?  And it's not just happening with health care... it's happening with many other bills.

I don't listen to what you say about Obama, you have a warped view of him that is not based on any reality.

The rest of you, you don't want bills rushed, you don't want bills debate to go on forever, he isn't doing enough, he is doing too much, he isn't keeping election promises, he is keeping election promises. You have to make up your mind exactly what you want him to do.

And were you given access to read every single bill the last president put forward and did you?

I'm sure he will keep some promises and not others.  Just like every other politician, he does not exist in a vacuum and cannot fulfill certain promises without cooperation from others.

Politicians should never make promises.  Its a curse.

I do not think there has ever been a politician who kept a promise, that didn't affect someone else in a negative manner.

They really should stay away from that word.
