Everyones talking about the coming of the End of Earth as we no it .
What are your thoughts?
Personally, i think if we as the dominant species of this planet, had taken better care of it, this subject would never have come about.
Air pollution, War. Hate. Racism.
It all contributes.
And none it does any good at all.
There have been a lot of hubs written about this subject. One I recently read made a VERY good point about the Mayans also having had a starting date on their calendar which we KNOW is wrong.
http://hubpages.com/hub/Will-it-be-the- … ld-in-2012
Read it. The Mayans apparently thought the world started about 4000 BC or so, which-- I think-- is later than the Hebrews thought.
was that link there before? lol I must really be losing sight.....
(sorry if thats bad taste - but I gotta laugh at myself if it was there)
I don't think there's any chance of the world ending to tell you the truth but i could see something similar to y2k happening, im sure there will be an extream panic around that time
OK-- so this could be a good time to market products that help people survive the end,or prepare for it?
Yep, we should all start our marketing hubs now - how to prepare for the end 2012 - stock up now!
It will end when it ends - I may be here, I may not??? Just live for the moment & put your worries away
Unless mine was poorly written, I have a hub about surviving 2012 scenarios and so far it hasn't done much. Guess I should have included 2012 in the title maybe? LOL
War. Hate. Racism.
All have been a part of human history, and most assurely have not contributed in the modern day to the the age old prophecy of the 'end of the earth'.
Pollution, that is the only modern addition to the very old notion/subject of the 'when' of the end of the earth, and no doubt well used as a scare tactic in the modern day, much like relgion was well used in days of old in the same regard.
Hmmph. That is quite consistent with the sense that 'global warming' has become a 'belief' akin to a religion.
I don't think that this world is gonna end in 2012. If it was to end, then it would have ended many years ago.

I hate to break some bad news to you but a meteor shower that's headed our way will hit us by 2012 and will affect our entire atmosphere and kill everyone in the planet. So the only thing we can do now until then is...
PARTAY! PARTAY! PAAAAR-TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Please partay responsibly. You don't want anyone thinking bad thoughts about your soul at the last moment.
Well if they were really partying they wouldn't have those thoughts would they?
I LIKE YOUR THINKING!
Everyone in the pool of beer!
it's not abuse if i release it eventually in another form
Please tell us you are going to get out of the pool first.
I of course would like to know as well.
Just trying to establish some rules here. I don't really care for a Black N Tan brew.
Flightkeeper just for the record , I love Heineken ! Or is this gonna be one of those BYOB deals ?
Well since Greek is providing the pool of beer. BYOB means bring your own bong!
Damn.. to whom will i brag about my conquests at the party in 2013?
There are so many theories and interpretations of the 2012 prophecy, that really it is very difficult to know what is and is not accurate. However in all of my readings and research the common misconception is that 2012 means the end of the world as a whole, but the actual premise of the prophecy is that the world as we know it will end. THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT, this means that society will go through a huge change, maybe a next step in the evolution of man, possibly we can reach that next level, The type 2 civilization that the physicist Michio Kaku talks about.
I think we should prepare for change, not for the end of the planet, and hey who knows maybe in the preparation for change even if nothing happens it will at least kick start us towards that direction anyway.
In 2012 it will be the end. the end of people saying the world will end in 2012 that is!
Exactly! Surely they will shut up about it once it is past, and start talking about the end of the world in 2013!
No not so early! Five years from now would be a more likely date!
On third thoughts, (second thoughts withheld) it might end sooner if we don't pool our resources and stop those oil leaks!
The end of "an age," perhaps, according to what the ancients believed?
Emails are flying around in the Banking Industry asking Managers to be on the look out for people befriending them between now and Dec 20th 2012. As if we would
It seems that they are not prepared to give people their money back before the BANG!
Doesn't that tell a story?

I thought...Now what's supposed to happen then? (Thinking of what would happen after Dec. 20, 2012) Then...it occurred to me what it meant. How about you are you looking forward to the future...or are you happy the way things are? Me...I like things simple...and I'm afraid we are way past that...

Do you think the world will end on December 21 2012?If so please explain why. Have you joined the doomsday preppers and started preparing for the end of the world as we know it. Don't you think all this end of the world talk is just a lot of hype and that the sun will come up on December 23 just...

Is July 24, 2012 the end of the world? Or is it December 21, 2012?What date do you think Jesus will come back, if at all. Give all of your opinion.

I recently saw a show on the history channel that was about Nostradamus and his predictions for the end of the world. It also spoke of the Mayans prediction and how other religions back up the theory in their own way and all those theories conclude that the end of the world will be Dec 21,...
