In regard to many of the preceding entertaining posts:

Unbelievable short term memory viewpoints....one would think America changed on a dime in the Bush years, hmmph...so silly. . ..coupled with pure blackouts and rhetorical twisting and spinning of the events of the past 2 years, the left wing liberals should pat themselves on their puffed up backs so weary of theoretically supporting this country with integrity.....ha ha ha.  IMO.

Yes, if you took a poll......they have been quite informative of late in the United States!.....you might try it for yourself, helpful to a hint of reality!  Just IMO, my oh so humble opinion, and in the interests of others exploring and learning and judging with all tools available -- not personal at all, it would be quite helpful, quite a service to all.

So yeah, you ought to take a poll if you have the wherewithall, I do not, I'm quite poor, and do let us know the results, and we will all so appreciate it!  Excellent suggestion, so glad you've added this comment to hubpages again and again again. smile  smile

Can you remember how this comment came about?  It was in regard to you saying "if you took a poll" and then predicting what the poll would show.  Coincidentally, the imaginary results always agreed with your point of view!  I'm glad you admit you never took the polls you used as excuses for your opinions.  Thanks!

Same old, same old, from one comment so long ago....

Only liberal leftists allowed to openly speculate,

to gesticulate, to ponder and pontificate.......

what lies in the American mind, oh my, oh my, what an ego......!

IMO, and just a bit of spontaneous jest, not in the least personal.... smile Happy Days to you Randy.

One comment?  Now, now K, was that characterization accurate?  I remember differently.  And yes, you are allowed to speculate, ponder, pontificate, gesticulate and while you do so I usually have the urge to regurgitate.  LOL!

                  Sugar rush of comments pointed,

                  long dulled edges shedding sandy

                  crumbs from shaping and anointing,

scattered 'round, long since felt wanting.

Just a jingle that came to me!  I think it has 8 syllable rhythms to each line, will count them again tomorrow.....

Scary because this is actually true...

    1. profile image0
Brenda Durhamposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Umm....the act of extending one's arms horizontally toward a person is a common practice in many churches these days;  it is NOT an act of worshipping that person;  it simply means praying for that person, and you'll notice that the woman leader did NOT say anything about worshipping Bush, only to pray FOR him.   The "come and kiss your Savior, children" must be a tagline added by the person who posted the video, or added by you livelonger via your usual insinuations.

As far as the rest of the concept of "Jesus Camp", I don't know much about it;  I recall people asking about it a few years back, and I do believe that children should be taught about the power of God;  but some of those children in the video don't seem old enough or mature enough to be off the "milk" of the Gospel yet.....

And I do believe that ADULTS should be the ones who take charge of influencing politics, not children.   The children may be our future leaders, etc., but that's future, not present, and there does seem to be something.....not quite right....about what's occurring in that video.

Maybe you are one of the conspiracy theorists who think he was involved in bringing the Towers down on 9/11?

Before GW Bush happened along this country was perfect and he led it down the path to destruction.

And you forget, Bush had 8 years....and Cheney was in gvt since the 1970's. Daddy Bush was head of CIA. Yeah, they did a  LOT of damage.

Bt you all live by the credo those who refuse to see history will repeat it.

If the tea-baggers get elected, you will see greed run rampant as never before. Because they will say "You wanted it".

    Bull.
It only takes someone with common discernemnt and ears to know Holder's a racist, as is Obama."

I consider that hate speech. Especially so as they are black men living in America and given the history here.

You may think it's funny for Fox network to throw that around all the time, and people like Brenda and flippin and whoever else hates Obama, but to me I find it disgusting in the extreme.
Worse, because they hide behind God to excuse it away.

So, any time a black man is called a racist - regardless of whether he is or not - THAT is 'hate speech'?

      Really?

"regardless of whether he is or not - "

        That's the key, isn't it?

"Racists who hate white people and are part of the new black panther party."

They say these things as if they are true....meanwhile, a poster of Obama with a voodoo doctor outfit and a bone through his nose is called "cute" and "harmless".

Yes, it is hate. Deny it all you want. And since apparently I'm the only person on hubpages who hates, that makes me the expert.

So, just to clarify, calling a black man, any black man, racist is itself racist regardless of whether the man in question really is racist or not?

We are talking about the president and the attorney general...the highest level offices in the land....you think there might be some reason to discredit them other than truly believing them to be racists???
Can I just call you a racist because I feel like it? That's what they do.
When Kanye West said Bush doesn't care about black people, even he didn't stoop so low as to call Bush a racist.

This is Republican propaganda, to spur up race-hatred and division.

And can anyone tell me how Obama can be a racist when he is half white, can you explain that one?

Yes, he identifies himself as the first black president, therefore he must have made a choice.

In any case, you are asking for simple information that you can google in two seconds if you really care to, and I am asking you your personal opinion on a matter.

No, not regardless of whether he is or not. We're talking about President Obama and Attorney General Holder, neither of whom is remotely a racist. People who call them racist are either ignorant or malignant or both.

Ever see a photograph of Obama? He is black, if you saw him on the street and knew nothing about him you would say he was black... I'm sure you don't ask every single black man you see if he's half white.

I've never heard him say he is the 1st Black president, I have heard others say it. What would you like him to say he is. Regardless, does not make him a racist.

    1. Jim Hunter profile image60

I have heard him refer to himself as the first black president.

I personally don't care how he refers to himself.

Black, white, purple I don't like his policies.

But to sit in a church for over 20 years while a racist rants and raves and not get up and leave, well I drew my own conclusions.

I believe he does not like white people.

There you have it. And you cannot deny that after the East India Trading Company showed up on these shores, white Europeans have though themselves to be superior, and have governed accordingly.
