    why not?

A good point was brought up - the reason he's probably not doing it is because the birth certificate likely lists him as white.

... I guess race is still a big issue!

But why would that be a big deal? We know he's half white and half black. He's always said that.

yeah, it's not a big deal, but he's a huge hit in the black community.

      I don't care either way.

Chris Matthews is an out-of-control moron. He ranks right up there with "The View." He's so biased that his own network has considered putting a lid on his ultra-liberal nonsense. Likely there's behind-the-scenes scrambling going on here. Matthews is not posting good ratings. The November elections indicated that the majority of Americans prefer conservative fare. So he needs to stir up something that will appeal to the conservative right.
The birth certificate issue is as good as any. But the issue doesn't stop with birthright, as everybody knows. Obama has now spent over $2 million to keep certain records, to include academic theses and grades, confidential. So it's possible Matthews, a trained journalist (although one wouldn't know it), smells a story lurking beneath the surface.
And it could be this: It's very likely that Obama, if a U.S. citizen at birth, claimed Indonesian citizenship (under Soetoro) and thus received various U.S. grants and scholarships available only to foreign-born students. So he scammed the system. As far as Matthews goes, unless he knocks off his hyper-liberal rants, this could be his last year on network television. And he knows it.

"Matthews is not posting good ratings."  says who? any source?

"Obama has now spent over $2 million to keep certain records, to include academic theses and grades, confidential." Says who? Do you have a source?

"It's very likely that Obama, if a U.S. citizen at birth, claimed Indonesian citizenship (under Soetoro) and thus received various U.S. grants and scholarships available only to foreign-born students."

Where do you get this stuff? Do you just make up anything that pops in your head and present it as 'likely'?

I fully believe BO was born in Hawaii. I'm amazed that 43% of Americans still doubt this.

Because Americans believe in full disclosure. After $2 million and counting, it appears full disclosure isn't on Obama's agenda. What's even more amazing is that an equal number of Americans blindly accept as fact what appears to be fiction. An additional 25 percent (or so) haven't made up their minds.

"Because Americans believe in full disclosure."

Like hell. This is pure politics. You heard it from their own mouths....We Want to Destroy Obama...his Waterloo...make him a one-term president.

If we cared so much about full disclosure, how come Cheney and Bush testified, yet were not under oath? Mine as well say --"go ahead and lie if you want to"...but it was Bush and Cheney, the "real" Americans, so .......USA USA USA.

Come on, you all know Obama is a fake American. Worse, a "liberal" (said witha  sneer)--even though he's not.

But not to worry---Issa will get him! Oh yes, you will have your revenge.
And King will get the Muslims.
And meanwhile, we will continue to fund the Likud terror organization. With or without our consent. Or full disclosure.

But LMC, Matthews is a liberal, and he's always been an Obama supporter. Why is he adding fuel to the birthers' fire?

Not that Chris Matthews had much in the way of credibility to begin with, but since that whole "thrill running up my leg" nonsense (which was simultaneously funny and somewhat disturbing at the same time), it has been impossible to take him seriously.

MSNBC is a wonder, though.  Who else keeps obviously failing shows on the air interminably?  The goal behind your programming is to trounce you opposition in the ratings.   MSNBC loses abysmally on every front....
