And republicans, the tea party, christians, and zionists to potential donators from the Muslim Brotherhood!! Now tell me again why we should fund them?

True, you've never claimed to be unbiased or free from prejudice though, have you!
She doesn't have to be free from bias or prejudice.
You certainly aren't.
Truth is a choice a conscious decision to believe... I like to consider what's possible and what's likely using my experience with common sense since real truth can never be known... but in this case it was a setup however no one put the words in the mouths of those execs so regardless of the source its likely the feeling expressed were real especially in light of recent goings on at NPR like Juan Williams firing for example.
Funny how the Koch spoof phone call was out of order but this is acceptable!
You claim truth to be believed, but you also claim truth cannot be known. Then you go on to say that you use common sense?
Interesting. Isn't that the same website that:
...included Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan (who is Jewish) supporting Nazi ideology (accompanied by a fake picture of her in a Nazi uniform)?
...a video suggesting that Muslims have sex with goats?
...a doctored photo showing President Obama urinating on an American flag?
...claims that Obama's mother was involved in pornography and that Obama "was involved with a crack whore in his youth"?
Which website? I never even heard of any of those things you mentioned! However it is interesting that Kagan was Obama's defense counsel in court actions seeking proof of Obama's eligiblity to be president.

From liberals saying mean things about conservatives to Obama's birthplace in 11 posts! This could be a new Hub Pages record!
NPR is just a great way for poor people to receive quality programming if they can't afford cable.
It's no wonder the Repubs don't like it....it's nice and it shows the marks of a true culture.
Repeat after me: All that matters to Repubs is $$$.
Since the last time they cut $ from NPR, there has been more commercials, and more fund-rasing going on.
After all, when you can afford cable, you can watch stations with no commercials if you choose.
Once again, Repubs stand for taking away something from the lowest class of American people.
I mean, they had no problem funding the subsidies for the trillian $$ oil companies, yet the pittance that NPR receieved is too much of a "burden".
Selfish Greed-mongers, the lot of them!!!!
There it is....your present-in-every-thread wealth envy rant.....now we want to take away poor folks' television! Oh, the humanity!
"yet the pittance that NPR receieved is too much of a "burden"."
A dime would be a burden for this bunch.
No wonder liberals like NPR, it is shamelessly partisan, lives off the teat of everyone else without accountability, and doesn't have to compete like everyone else. Other people's money and no consequences? A liberal dream.
NPR is less than one speckle on a teat compared to oil subsidies!
And oil companies are for profit enterprises!
Why are we helping THEM get personally rich, yet it's too much to ask to help poor peole receive quality television?
Why does Exxon mean more to you than mom and pop America?
LaLo, I'm not surprised by what those NPR cretins said about people who aren't liberal. Did you really expect them to be tolerant? What he said means that we should start defunding NPR. He says that they are not reliant on it, so why give them any money. In addition, this tells me that the NPR is for just a particular segment of the public and not the whole public, again another reason not to publicly support NPR. That they would meet with a lobby for a Muslim front group and that they would say that Jews control all newspapers tells me that their product is not unbiased as they like to say they are.
No politician is for the public. When are people finally going to learn.
Most politicians are at least partly for the public.
I'm glad you think so. They give the appearance, but their individual actions speaks greater volume. Nice try.
Categorical, knee-jerk cynicism is not a sign of intelligence or political savvy. In reality, it is just a lazy, simplistic way of avoiding careful thinking.
No, it is obviously your opinion. It would be illogical to suggest otherwise no matter how highly you think of yourself.
Unlike, of course, you who thinks your opinion is entirely logical and if only we'd all take heed of you we'd be wise beyond our years!
Funny, I seem to recall only today you telling me that I wasn't worth talking to because I refused to accept what you said.
I can't really be bothered to trawl through the threads to find something that is there and I know is there.
Which means of course that you win!
Not my idea of a win though, saying something then denying it, still we expect no more than that from the right.
I'll take that as your very reluctant way of admitting you were wrong.
Hey Short, just because you fail to realize that America, the nation itself is nothing but a fraud on the people since it's inception, isn't my fault, but actually is yours.
There AGAIN is your opinion, and nothing more. Personally, if I held such an OPINION I'd go live somewhere else. I'd feel like a hypocrite and a coward otherwise. But, ah, well, I'm sure you have some values of some sort you live by and with yourself and you are entitled to even that opinion.
An opinion - yet look at this country and the state it is in? You must be blind.
Actually, again opinion? You fail to understand things larger than you. WOW!
Since you brought it up, it's most likely how you feel already.
Values? You've already shown by your own words in all your forum posts that you don't have a clue on either values or what is in the best interest of people in general. So please..
Yes, an OPINION. Just your OPINION and nothing more. NOTHING MORE. No more 'true' or of any particular worth than anyone else's. A mere, humble, not particularly significant or well thought-out OPINION. But hey, what's wrong with that? Opinions are important too.
Your OPINION about my having a clue on things larger than myself or values or what is in the interest of people in general is pretty silly and a bit too personal to be appropriate, but you are entitled to that OPINION as well, I suppose.
And, while I do require corrective lenses for the purposes of operating a motor vehicle, I am not blind. Thank you for your concern over my occular health.
Right you are on every count! Oh and the libs should look at the lucrative salaries these "public savants" pull down! Lol pun intended
No gotcha moment? The Walker/"Koch" phone call was all over every news station, the transcript was all over the blogosphere.
Walker was hanging out in the breeze.
Oh, you mean that because Walker claimed that he said nothing on this phone call that he didn't also say in person, that the phone call wasn't damaging to him.
You have heard about the recall demand for 8 GOP senators in Wisconsin, right?
Thank you for the wonderful example of the diva dems doing what they can to win. Yes, I hope they do it so everyone can see the lengths the dummycrats will go to take over even though elections have passed and those races and results have been verified. I want everyone in the entire country to WAKE UP to what the democrats will do in order to take control of your lives.
And, like the Republicans are any damn different.
Politics is all about control of citizens.
No, that is not what politics is all about.
I heard the call and there was nothing incriminating on it... you libs are just upset that he took the call! What politician wouldn't take a call from Koch? I haven't heard a out the recall but I'm not surprised. The lib pigs are worried they're going to lose their place at the public trough and will do anything to keep sucking the life blood out of the tax pagers of WI!
SOMEONE HAS AN OPINION?!!?!?
.... anyway, I DO agree that there shouldn't be government funding for NPR - I don't like federal funding for anything.
But - just because some lady has a different opinion than you, and they receive money from the government doesn't mean that they're evil.
If that were true then every teacher would have to be fired from public school.
(Once again, i'd like to see everything privatized - i'm just pointing out the foolishness of the arguments posted by the OP)
No having a differnt opinion doesn't make one evil but that determination depends on what the opinion is... in this case Shiller pretty much stated racist hatred of multiple groups of people... in my opinion that makes him evil especially since he was willing to give a group that shares his views a voice on public airwaves for cash.
Another swing and a miss for James O'Keefe. When are Republicans going to hire professionals to carry out the dirty tricks like the good ol' days with guys like G. Gordon Liddy? This teenybopper O'Keefe is an amateur. He was exposed for editing most of the whole ACORN/pimp video, his plot to embarrass a CNN reporter failed miserably when she refused to go along with his crude advances, and now he couldn't get NPR to accept his fraudulent $5 million donation while posing as a member of a Muslim organization.
All O'Keefe got was an NPR exec running his mouth off about the Tea Party. Who here is shocked that someone said the Tea Party is full of bigots? I wonder where he would get that impression: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoKd8CCdsxU
Other than this exec saying he thinks NPR would be better off without public funding, where's the controversy here?
Well it was more than just a trashing of the Tea Party as you probably know by now. It seems to be at least a triple for Okeefe with Shiller being forced to resign. If the NPR funding is cut it will be a HR! Should the public really fund a racist organization that would provide a voice to an extremist group on the public airwaves for a cash donation? That's actually what was being discussed. Now being a regular NPR listener I feel I've been duped all trust in their reporting is now lost for me.
He called the teabaggers out for being exactly what they are, so really no problem there.
He said NPR/CPB would be better off without federal funds which is also true.
"In 2009, NPR revenues totalled $164 million, with the bulk of revenues coming from programming fees, grants, contributions and sponsorships"
Lol!! That's LESS than Michelle Bachmann took from the "gangster gvt'!!
Ahaha--SHE took $250 mil!
And that went to HER privately!!
NPR serves millions.
My My MYYYYYYYY
You all think NPR steals from you....Michelle--you better get your guns lined up--they're coming for you.
****What's that?**** OH, she's a Republican, so it's OK if she takes tax-payer money. For herself. Got it.
Just as an aside....
Bachmann was foster mom to 23 kids.
My grandsons' day-care provider is a foster-mom. She gets $150.00 a week per child. Plus medical. Plus food-stamps. Plus clothing allowance.
Imagine the nest-egg with 23 kids. Woooooooooo! Wouldn't have to work a day, huh??
What a scam. What a gig. Taking in kids for the money huh?
Wow--she gives new meaning to the term welfare queen doesn't she?
She took in those kids for the money.
Just like poor moms do, right?
What? You mean in Minnesota they don't give the foster parents a GUN for each foster kid?
But they do give medical. And Michelle Bachmann accepted it.
But wait... isn't that like... government run healthcare?
Sounds suspiciously like "Obamacare" to me.

In a rather desperate effort to divert the gaze of the American people away from the wreck that is his presidency, Obama, in conjunction with his press secretary, has started to call the various scandals that have bedeviled him the past 12 months or so, as PHONY.Really? I don't see...
