Polls show 50% of Republicans would not vote for any TP or GOP in the run for the presidential nominee at this time. They say they don't know who half those people are. Gotta love it!!!

Bachmann is now trying to tell seniors President Obama gave the tax cuts to the rich in Dec. 2010. Good luck with that Zombie, she ran on cutting taxes for the rich & there's a lot of live footage that will be broadcast again & again.

What happened to Paul Ryan? Is he now backing down from his plan since he got hell at his townhall & probably the thought of not getting re-elected. Wisconsin voters have more than enough signatures to recall 3 Senate Republicans & they're starting on #4. The only need 3 to take control back but they're going for 6. WE STAND WITH YOU WISCONSIN!!!

Who did that poll? MSNBC? NPR? Huffington post? you gotta laugh!

I guess you need that wishful thinking. and a lot of the union people were at the town hall. Do you wanna bet not one gets recalled? maybe the ones who jumped ship and played hookey like children and did not do what they are paid to do.

Don't get pissed with me because your TP & GOP polls are down. That's what happens when you have a bunch of crazy racist hypocrites running for office. There are truly some good Republicans who care about people & a CBS Poll shows it. I suppose now you'll have something bad to say about CBS. Did you enjoy the Paul Ryan townhall? It was awesome & it's on youtube, even his own constituents gave him hell. If you stop watching FOX you might actually see what the majority of the people in America want.

which polls? you never answered the question? Personally I do not care about the TP but to spread BS polls from MSNBC or some other left wing media propaganda channel is useless, Didn't you guys say you would win in the last election also? I do believe so. what happened again....remind me, how did that work out? As far as your town hall, like I stated many union members who were busted from the last a$$ whipping they took went there to make a spectacle. You were burned the last election and this one will be even worse as everything has gotten even worse! Also how come any of you will not bring up that the white house tried to get S&P to not come out with the negative rating? If that was the right you would have been screaming bloody murder along with the left wing news. funny how that doesn't get much play? strange....things that make you say hmmmmmmmmm

If you read my last comment, I wrote it was a CBS Poll. Like I said before you would see I'm right if you were not in denial. Funny how you never show proof  of anything & demand it from others who don't agree with you. Are the Koch bros paying you too? Looks like the kochs will have to keep busing TP's from state to state to make rallies look like a crowd.
I love that more Republicans & the TP are getting hell from constituents like Ryan. Did they really think seniors would agree to get rid of Medicare? There are actually good Republicans who really care about what will happen to the future genration. Sorry your upset & disappointed, you can't always get what you want.

Is George soros paying you? George Soros have given more money to left socialist organizations. Tides foundation, Apollo, and countless others including funding NPR etc... Soro's is much worse than Koch! if you weren't such a puppet and actually checked into facts you might be enlightened. I'm not in denial actually you are. You can not even see the obvious. The democrats are causing these problems and want a lot of unemployment and then extend unemployment insurance from 26 weeks to 2 years, Welfare and other social programs so more people depend on the government and thanks to the savior who gave them these extended Unemployment benefits and welfare vote for them again. They portray the right as evil and have the media in their pocket etc... But people are so stupid they can not see the actual truth! If the right was all for corporations why would they want to collapse the economy? that would hurt everyone including the evil rich! would never happen! keep taking the koolaid. have you ever actually checked Soros? The Chinese chief commanders in their military call him a financial terrorist! that is not a political statement either. This man collapse a few currencies the UK included. but you wouldn't know about this! It is way more than you can even fathom.

Why would republicans collapse the economy? That's what we want to know, they are the cause of this mess. Thanks Bush!!! Kind hearted republicans(48%) agree to raise taxes on the rich & cut tax loopholes.  More republicans who voted for Ryan's plan get hell at townhalls!!!

For history buffs - when fascism was on the rise in Italy, they went after unions. In Germany, they made scapegoat of the Jews. The Tea Party is recycling ideas that worked.

        1. sn53Anon profile image58
sn53Anonposted 8 years agoin reply to this

Maybe the problem is your incomplete understanding of history.

Did public sector unions exist in NAZI Germany or fascist Italy? No. They did not. But the exist today. They are allied with their democrat politicians against the taxpayer.

I will be delighted if we are able to destroy the alliance between the public sector unions that take taxpayer dollars and give them to their leash holders.

          But that is just me.

I have started my hub on how to become a public sector union thug. There seem to be plenty of experts here. Do any of you want to help me write it?

          1. John Holden profile image60
John Holdenposted 8 years agoin reply to this

No unions existed in Nazi Germany, the Nazis prohibited them.

Most, if not all, union members are taxpayers.

            1. sn53Anon profile image58
sn53Anonposted 8 years agoin reply to this

Union members - taxpayers. Was that the point?

When did public sector unions become all the rage? And when did democratic politicians see an opportunity for creating a massive money laundering scheme where taxpayers would pay public sector unions their wages. Part of those wages would be given to the union bosses, who in turn would give the funds to democrats who promised greater benefits at the expense of the taxpayer?

And therein lies the problem. We now have a history of corruption involving democrat politicians and public sector unions. It is time for both to go.

Well, no. It is the unholy and corrupt alliance between unions and democratic politicians at the expense of the taxpayer that is the crux of our problem.

Really? You have to buy? You have no choices? And all of this time I thought you lived in the USA. Perhaps I was wrong.

Except where governments have chosen winners and given monopoly power to a corporation I have always found choices. When I bought my most recent car, I was not forced to buy a Government Motors car. I bought a Ford. For my last cell phone purchase and cell phone calling plan I had a half-dozen choices. When I buy clothes I can go to my tailor or I can go to any of a hundred stores and buy what I wish.

With government I have no such choice.

      Your mileage may vary.

Are you saying the government has the ideas to come up with a new drug? No, these are private capital groups who fund these things a lot of the time and when they hit the jackpot they make a fortune by charging a lot for the medication until the time period runs out then they can make generic at a reduced level. It is a business and the government doesn't have anything to do with it. Some scientist do get grants and loans sometimes, but believe me most time it is private money! what do you think these private equity companies, some hedge fund companies and capital companies do for a living? I know someone who has come up with an idea for creating energy from algae. he is getting funding through private equity and private investment capital. He can also go public. which has nothing to do with the government. The government should focus on foreign invasion and leave most everything to the state level. your perception of how business works is totally false.

Actually, you can still buy the old types of garden and crop seed which will reproduce true.  But you are somewhat correct with your concerns with some agricultural seed used for higher crop yields.  BT cotton seed-developed to be immune to herbicides such as Round Up-will reproduce true with the same immunity, but it is illegal to reuse the seed.

Imagine being able to spray the entire field with herbicides which will destroy every type weed but not affect the crops at all.  This eliminates repeated trips of tilling, plowing, and spraying. Imagine the time, fuel, and equipment costs the farmer saves.  Not all of the seed and plant research is nefarious. Many farmers could not stay in business without the genetic seed we have today.  The cost of these types of seed is exorbitant, however!  smile

Provisos being no tax on essentials as these tend to be regressive.

I used to work for local government who had in place many fixed price contracts for essential but undefinable work load. These generally worked well but were hard work. The contractors would price for many items with no idea of how many they would be called on to fulfil. They tended to work well.

I'm thinking more of the likes of the Halliburton contract worth $7 billion and for which Halliburton were the only company allowed to bid.

      Hi John,

It does not seem to me that your statement is correct. I read two left wing websites that implied it. They are funny sits. Then I went to wikipedia that appeared a bit more balanced.

Also, it seems that some of the Task/Delivery orders requests for proposals were competitively bid and only one company responded. Things re not always as they seem. Those places are hard work to supply. Halliburton has been doing very dangerous work for a long time. They have the infrastructure in place to do the job at a reasonable price. So they get the work.

The nice thing about capitalism is that if you believe you can do the work you can start a company and go for it.

          Hi John,

You seem to know about IDIQ contract vehicles. I was the technical volume captain on one a bit more than a year ago that was potentially worth $500 million dollars. We have seen no work. It took a month and more than 20 full time people to respond to the request for a proposal. We were one of two winners in the selection. Still, we always know that winning the IDIQ does not always mean the work will come.

Fine, but it still does not explain why corporate control of government is good whilst people control of government is bad.

We have the same sort of mindset in the UK, MPs sponsored by trade unions bad, MPs sponsored by big business good!

I don't believe that. I do believe the best way for the US to fix many of its problems is to eliminate the income tax and go to a consumption tax. Then most of the leverage politicians have over business and the people will be eliminated.

                What a blooming crock.

Going to a consumption tax is a sucker bet designed to soak the middle class and under. Here's how it works.

If you are in the bottom 20% making $12K annual, you save and invest 0%. So you pay the full tax. If you are in the top 1%, earning 1.25 MILLION per year, you save and invest more than half your income. That half of your income is tax free. So your tax rate is less than HALF what a single mom would pay.

No surprise. You really have no interest in fairness in raising revenues. This continues to be about your desire to plunder. You may be a weakling and a coward in real life. So you want government to come to my house and steal my possessions in your name and on your behalf.

By all means, list the countries that do not have compulsory taxation.

If you don't want to pay your share of living in this county, you have a menu of alternates. Do write (by mail) -  since none of your choices have internet - or running water.

Not if savings are taxed. There is no way that a consumption tax can replace all other forms of taxation.

Sure it can. The Fair Tax is well designed to do exactly that. Combine a fair way to tax with a constitutionally-based, limited government and there will be plenty of money to do the things that must be done.

I think maybe a lot of people could use a Bobby Kennedy moment.
Remember when he went to Appalachia?
He could not BELIEVE that people were living like that.
    Such poverty!
Such bleakness. And he was stunned.
Well, nothing has changed. There are people who live horribly impoverished and hopeless lives right here, right NOW in America--"the richest country in the world". It's unconscionable.

We need an eye-opening experience like Bobby Kennedy had. It changed him forever, and I bet it would do the same to most of you.

Please stop worrying about the wealth you have, and think about the lack of it for others...and WHY is it this way?

Sounds like the trailer to a movie. Unfortunately, though this thriller is a well-funded undertaking it's doomed at the box office. Or should I say ballot box.

The demographics won't work. There are more poor people than rich ones. The Ryan Plan was poor strategy. Vague rhetoric was working - now seniors are learning that the Tea Party wants them to pay 6K per year more for an inferior Medicare so fat cats can get a huge tax cut. The Tea Party is working desperately to undermine the rights of the working man. Attacks on the reproductive rights of women have also angered voters who wanted something done about jobs.

Democrats are going to 'clean house' in 2012. They are going to run on fair taxes. Riding the gravy train is just about over.

You just might be right. Tyrants have always been there to rouse the rabble. If the nation falls, why then it falls.

And that is your only great hope? The Democrat motto has always been "How can we fool them today?" It has worked for a long time. Should I despair because the Democrat strategy of deceit has worked up until now? Naw. Enough people have figured it out now.

I can see, from your perspective, how saving the nation from economic collapse looks like a bad strategy.

Have your read the Blueprint for Prosperity? Perhaps not.

Lies have served the Democrats very well for many years. I can see why you still cling to them. They are not going to work for you this time.

I love your codewords for public sector union thugs. But now the taxpayers who are working more so union thugs can have a better life than they do have caught on to the scam. You are going down.

Wow, do I have to get the entire playbook in one message? Breed all you want. Kill your babies all you want. Just don't insist that I pay for it.

Hmm. I guess we shall have to agree to disagree. Or should I mark you down as "undecided"?

I'm clearly decided. Close tax loopholes. Period. There are places in the budget we can cut. Defense is one. Reorganizing homeland security. Consolidating redundant departments. It can be done without layoffs. The USPS has trimmed over 25% of its workforce in the last few years -  without layoffs. It requires a scalpel - not a chainsaw.

Privatizing Medicare is a BAD idea. Slashing opportunities for students who are qualified for college - a tragedy. Cutting huge holes in the safety net of Medicaid is barbaric. This is not what the TP ran on, but its what they voted for. We will hang them all (figuratively) in 2012.

To solve the financial problems, surgical cuts and serious tax increases for the 20% by population, who take home HALF THE INCOME! I would CREATE AT least 3 more tax brackets in that top bracket for a total of 4.  The ACTUAL TOTAL TAXES should start at 30% (where the top 1% are now) and increase by 5% increments. So the four brackets at the top would pay 30 - 35 - 40 and 45% in total taxes.

Thats why we have Medicare/Medicaid because of the greedy ins.companies. Why do big corporations & oil companies need our state & federal gov. to give them big tax breaks & refunds. Aren't they depending on our gov.'s? I like the flip flops you do when it comes to $$$$ & screwing the people.

    Tea-Baggers should really be re-named Money-Baggers.
    Check this out:

    1. SOCIALIST SHIPBUILDING

Two years before founding the influential Cato Institute, Charles Koch bought a supertanker from a communist regime. According to information in the Lehman Brothers business archives, as well as records found in a Croatian shipyard, in 1975, Koch Industries purchased ship from the Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia. The ship, a standard 274,330-ton dual use tanker, was named after the Kochs' mother, Mary.

The purchase of a ship from Yugoslavia would not have been a big deal, had the Kochs not been the ones doing the buying. With the whole free world to choose from, why would a supposedly true-believer libertarian like Charles Koch buy a vessel produced in a communist country—and name it after his own dear mother, to boot? After all, didn't Austrian school economist Ludwig Von Mises, an early influence on Charles' intellectual journey to libertarianism, write in his 1933 seminal work, Socialism: An Economic and Sociological Analysis, that centrally planned economies are so inherently inefficient that "socialism must fail"?

It turned out that Yugoslavia's highly-centralized economy was the opposite of inefficient—it was on fire.

    http://www.observer.com/2010/slideshow/ … ipbuilding

Uhhhh, a communist country on Capitalist fire??
    Ya don't say.

Geeee-this kind of reminds me of "freedom-loving Fox", with the 2nd biggest share-holder being a Saudi prince, and "Money-Bags" Murdoch close relationship with China.

Ummm, money; mouth, will you ever meet???
