What women want?

Men use to say that the spirit of women is very complicated. This may be true for some men, but if they follow the forthcoming 10 tips, the secret of a good relationship will likely be revealed for them.

The following 10 tips were created on my own experiences (including the experience of the couples in my circle of friendship), and I hope I can help you, Dear Readers, and will give you a new aspect on what women really want.

1. - Never cheat on her!

First of all, the most important is to never cheat on your girlfriend. Yes, I said never. And no, don't think if it never turns out then it is not a problem.

You can look at other women if you want, but don't do it strikingly. It hurts very much for your girlfriend. All people think differently, so I don't know if you consider a kiss as a cheat on your girlfriend or not, but I think the best is if you tell her if you are confused with your relationship or you don't feel the love anymore.

2. - Always be honest!

I know it is popular nowadays to think that you better keep problems for yourself and never tell it to your girlfriend, but it is the worst you can do. Untold griefs and pains will come up and break out later again and again involuntarily, so the best you can do is to always tell the truth. I know it can hurt, but it is still better than a bigger, unexpected fight between you two later.

3. - Try to pay attention!

I know it is hard sometimes to pay attention to your girlfriend and what she is speaking (the more is the better of course), but it is the foundation-stone of a relationship. I mean if your girlfriend tries to pay attention to you, then you must pay attention to her as well. If mutual attention does not exist, the relationship will end sooner or later. Great, honest talks are the best - you two must always have time for each other, for example work must not be more important than your partner, otherwise problems will arise soon.

4. - Give little surprises!

Another secret of long-term relationships is the power of surprise. I think little gifts are the best to show your attention and love. No, you don't have to buy a diamond ring on each week, but you better buy a little bouquet or a rose at least once a month.

It is not costly, but it is a very nice deed. Or you can even bring your partner to a restaurant once in every two months - just to be only with her and forget about problems for at least a few hours. And no, it does not count if you give her gifts, because you have a skeleton in the cupboard and your conscience tells to do this.

Let the power of surprise do its best.

5. - Don't forget important dates!

My favourite: never forget important dates and events! If you do it is like you've forgot that you have a girlfriend. It is a crucial point in relationships, since men tend to forget about the anniversaries, the birthdays and other very important events.

And there comes the question of paying attention again. If your girlfriend remembers that you need for example a new, black pair of socks, then you must remember the date of your anniversary.

6. - Help in the housework!

The question of the housework in your common apartment is another crucial question.

Women are tired and dejected at the end of the day most of the time, because they have to perform both at work and at home. Therefore sometimes men should help them and give them a bit of freedom at least once a week. After that you can easily imagine how much work a woman does on each day and how hard it is to repeat this work every day. Never forget: housework is neither entertaining nor like a relaxation for women either!

7. - Pay a compliment to her!

Compliments are also very important in long-term relationships. Women like when their efforts to be beautiful are acknowledged, since they want to be beautiful for you, not for themselves. When a woman is at home, alone, they usually wear casual clothes and no makeup, but when their man is at home they always gussy up.

No, you don't have to lie and you don't have to make a compliment every day. Just be attentive and say how beautiful she is when she is pretty indeed.

8. - Show your love!

This can be connected to the question of paying attention a giving little surprises.

But! To show your love you have to buy nothing, just have to give little signs of your affection. Feel free to embrace and kiss your girlfriend when have the inner feeling that you have to. Never forget, you don't have to hide your love, if you do then it is not a 'pure' connection between you two.

9. - Be yourself!

Never hide your real personality - even if you are between friends. As I've experienced, men tend to behave differently within their circle of friendship. Their behaviour is loosened and they act like if they have no girlfriend and also tend to forget that their partner is with them (this is a rare case).

I also know that men don't like if their partner is curious about their whereabouts and they feel like if it is a sign of distrust or jealousy. I can tell you this is not true. In most cases women are curious because they just would like to know whether their man is OK. Later this inquiry will decrease when a child borns into the family - women will now pay attention to the child's life.

10. - Give quality in bed!

Finally, quality activities in the bedroom is one of the most important things in a relationship. Men tend to give higher priority to quantity instead of quality. This is a mistake.

For the above mentioned reasons (like loads of housework) women can also be tired and it is also possible that they want no activity in the bedroom at the end of the day - they just want to have a bath to relax a bit. Don't think they don't love you anymore, women just want a break. Therefore pay attention to quality in bed and do not bother women with bed exercises in each minute - this can become very annoying on the long run.

That's true, white lies are allowed and are good sometimes if they are made only to keep the relationship happy. But if you make many of them it is also bad.

In the article I was speaking about big lies that can end the relationship for example.

Thanks for the constructive comment :).

I don't know about ALWAYS being honest! If she asks "Do I look fat in this dress?" People sometimes "can't handle the truth!" Although "honesty is the best policy" sounds like good advice, a little white lie (sometimes) to spare someone's feelings is the polite and honorable thing to do!
