If he/she conned money from you, should you take a sociopath to court, or just let it go?
Well, Pam that all depends on how much money is involved. If it is enough to be worth the time, I would consider small claims court. Otherwise, it is going to cost more than it is worth and I would have to chalk it up to 'lessons learned'
I had criminal theft and called the cops -
doing the following helped me gain emotional closure:

Dante's hell verse & mp3 helped me out
" ... Oh miserable soul, whoever you are, o take the beautiful lady by deceit and then do her outrage - furious that the trick had worked! .... "
Stay in hell, for these are your deserved punishments.
Hi Pam, I agree with Credence2, it would depend on the sum of money that was involved. If it was a large sum of money, I would sue all the way. If it was a small amount of money I would probably just forget it and move on with my life, learning from my previous mistake. Good luck.
If it's a sociopath then they have no feelings. So I would take him/her to court. It wouldn't be right if they just took all of someones money.
I don't care if the money is small ,or tiny. Once you play with my money like that ,i'm taking you to court and attempt to sue for even more.Claiming late payments of my bills and the shock and trauma it put me through.I'll even go as far to imply that I trusted this person and it allowed my light to be cut off.Yeah i would show no mercy for sure hMMM.Yes even if it was 50 dollars;I'm taking you.
I had this very thing happen to me. I thought about taking him to court, but first of all, couldn't find him, and second of all, would not have been able to get money out of him, anyway, because he was always broke. (as con artists often are.)
The other factor was legal costs. If you have the money to spend, and he or she has the money, it might be worth it. But often it's not,. unfortunately. As far as criminal charges, it's very hard to prove. You could try, but very hard.

Is a trip to Disneyland worth the money?I have never been to Disneyland but as a kid I always wanted to go. I now have a young son and have thought about taking him. However, I have also heard that you pay a lot of money to stand in lines all day. Has anyone ever been and did you and your kids...
