How can some people laugh at anything? Seems like they are never serious or are they very person?
My friend is always laughing, even at stupid things. Am I not a happy person who doesn't see funny side of things or is she not serious with life?
.....I think we need a balance in life in order to level our emotions in order to appreciate the contrasts in life and its yin and yang - and that's why I've got the cat in my picture so people won't laugh at 'me' ......
Sometimes laughter is a nervous response, or a defense strategy. It does not always indicate happiness or humor.
"stupid things" are a matter of perception. Lots of people find stupid things or behavior to be funny. Trust and believe everyone has a "serious side". Some people are just more private about things that bother or upset them. It's been said that people who laugh often tend to live longer.
I love people who have a sense of humour and who like to have a bit of fun. But I have to admit that people who are constantly laughing or sniggering at everything are very irritating and I usually try to avoid them like the plague, I also find that some of them are insensitive at times.
Fun is the lighter moment of life. There is a great difference between funny things and stupid things. Funny things make you laugh from the heart but stupid things can never make one laugh from heart as well as can never touch everyone's instinct. Thus, a true funny thing will touch every instinct and so when all are not enjoying a moment equally then there is a question mark at the situation itself. So, I feel there is no reason to doubt your own personality.
most people i've seen who laugh a lot or make people laugh are hiding the pain within themselves. deep down they're hurting and they balance it out by laughing and joking around.
whenever i see such people i think of the quote by charlie chaplin
"i love walking in the rain, because no one can see me cry."
i laugh as i read your question cos i can relate to this thing..well case to case basis why people always laugh..but im like this type of person like your friend who always laugh on things and just take things with a humor no matter how serious it is..u can call it shallow, hiding or whatever but we are this type of person who are very jolly and have a happy humoric approach to life..and we the kind of people who are more serious to life and the things that matter to us..than those so called "SERIOUS" persons who are like the world is on their shoulder to carry on hahaha...and we are passionately emotional..so im telling u that your friend easily cry on stuff that touch her heart...this is not a probs..it's a balance thing to your friendship with her/him..since i think your more the so called "SERIOUS' one in here...and please don't hate people or dislikes them or think their in pain just cos they have a happy disposition in life and you don't hahaha tc all:)

I am prepared to get beaten up for this, but the reason I'm here is because I have no one I can confide in and I'm feeling anxious, depressed and bitter. My life was turned upside down two years ago and while I have dealt with all the rotten things thrown at me, one night I decided to escape...

Good job hubpages! Tell all your authors to write 3 sentence summaries about their hubs. Then use these summaries for meta descriptions in the actual webpages. Stupid. I bet hubpages has millions of pages with meta descriptions that clearly violate search engine guidelines. Bing won't even index a...
