    As a single parent how have you balanced dating and parenthood?

    In addition to struggling to find the time and energy in what ways have you been able to put yourself out there again without sacrificing your role as mom/dad?

    Hi Dana,

    Well... I am currently not dating.  You'll have to check out my hub titled The One Year Challenge to hear the entire story.  However, when I was dating... I found it difficult to balance dating and parenting.  I'd heard MANY times that women shouldn't allow different men around their children, so for the most part I tried to avoid that, however... if you want to have a dating life that is consistent, that'll be a difficult task.  In the past, my son met a few people that I dated and even though he only met them under the presumption that they were a friend, months after they were long gone, he continued to ask about them.  For this reason, I try to keep him and my lovelife as seperate as possible.  It will probably be this way until I enter a serious committed relationship with someone.
