What role do your best friends play in your behavior and personality development?

Over the years best friends influence a lot in our personality development, whether we are aware of it or not; we use their language or choice of words in many situations of our every day life. In speech, in choice of clothes or fashion, in food, in our outlook in life, in our lifestyles and many more. Are you aware of these influences? If so, what behavior do you have that you get from your best friends?

I did not really have friends outside of my family until I was 12 years old..By that time, all of my choices, who I was to become, who I am now, had already been established.
My friends had little influence. When I formed the friendships, those friendships were a kinship to who I already was..

The sharing must be in equal grounds.

My friends have never played a part in my behavior or personality development

Maybe indirectly where you are not aware of it.

My best friends try to stifle my behaviour and personality development.... but I keep hanging around with them, anyway......

It's easy to forgive our best friends. That's an honest answer.

Your friends does not play a direct role in developing your personality but yes indirectly they play a vital role in your personality development. Basically not only your friends but all people around you  if they are your family members , relatives, neighbors etc play a vital role in your personality development.because you speak a language as you listen around you. you act as you observe. we have a proverb "do as roman do" . Until you go to school you learn things from your family members when you start going school you learn things from your teachers and after some age your friends inspire you a lot.your whole friend circle affect your dressing, style, language ,communication skill etc.

If you had been best friends for ten years and you interact every day at work and in many special occasions then you will be told by your peer groups how similarly you become in many ways. Thanks for the thought and answer.
