   Using sex toys opens up the communication in a relationship and enhances intimacy.  Sometimes it's fun even if you've picked the wrong sex toy that neither of you like, then laugh about it later.  But when you pick a good one, sparks can fly like nothing else before. 
   
   Sex toys have their time and place though and shouldn't be used as a replacement to intimacy, but an enhancement of it.  Use the sex toys often, but have sex without them often too.  It's not true that you get addicted or don't like sex without them after using one, if anything you like sex without them even more and enjoy using them occasionally just as something fun and out of the same routine.

   I think that if you and your partner are open to it, sex toys can be a fantastic augment to your sex life.  Some toys are just silly, but a good ol' fashioned dildo can add some spice and make the sex fun.  Toys, in and of themselves, are created for fun.  Sex should be a fun, exciting, experience, no matter how long you have been with your partner.  Believe it or not, sex can become monotonous.  I definately think that sex toys can brighten up the experience.  As far as being healthy for a relationship, I think that whatever makes you both happy can't be all bad, right?

   In my recent hub talking about rabbit vibrators http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Rabbit-Vibrator -- I show some research about how 15% of women never experience an orgasm, and from 50 to 75% of women who experience orgasms cannot do so through intercourse alone.  I would definitely say that a woman never experiencing an orgasm is BAD for a relationship.  If sex toys are necessary to please a woman during sex, it is a good thing.

    I think the use of sex toys can spice it up a relationship. I have often heard that after years in a relationship sex can get a little boring.     I think they are healthy. For example my wife is totally ok with me using my Pleasure Pillow when I am in the mood and she is not. In that sense it is a life saver. I definitely recommend trying it out here at thepleasurepillow.com
