Telling close friend who once liked me that I like her, but would stay friends if she prefers that.
She clearly flirted with me at the beginning, but I was too insecure and not forthcoming, especially I was jealous of her admirers. Meanwhile we became best friends, on several occasions she gave me positive signals but withdrew immediately thereafter, which made it hard for me to confess. She went abroad and we chat daily, she often sounds romantic, but when I try to say "I would like to tell you something." she starts avoiding me. I would like to clarify openly without living with doubts.
she can either be playing games for her own amusement and convenience or she is just as scared as you and doesnt know how to respond to whatever you will say
At the very beginning, I also thought she might be playing games, but then... Would a "player" - or even a normal friend - send international text messages and make expensive international phone calls just to talk about daily things, despite both of us being regular users of Skype, e-mail, social networks...?
