for the past three months my wife has been sending sultry text messages to a guy in PA, she says...

they are only freinds. Please keep in mind, after I received the phone bills, I noticed numerous texts and calls at the beginning and end of the day(every day). I am contemplating divorce, I believe this is a form of cheating. Am I wrong?

I wouldn't say it's cheating per se - it sounds like (no reflection of this decision applies to you) that she is feeling unfulfilled and thus going outside the marital perimeters to get whatever fulfilment she's craving.

You have to ask yourself a) how do you rectify the situation so she doesn't feel inclined to do so, b) how much do you value your relationship with your wife and finally c) if it's less than your desire for her to be 'textually' monogamous. (Bad pun/situation, but i couldn't resist...)

Hope this shines a few shafts of light on the issue.

Yep it's cheating, she's maintaining a sneaky relationship with another man, and from what you said is flirting with him and the start and end of each day.  It also sounds like she doesn't want to stop as she's saying he's her 'friend' to justify her behaviour.  You need to be clear about your feelings with her, as a minimum I'd be keeping her mobile from her for a little while...

I agree with you! I think it's cheating. Here's a good rule of thumb - anything you wouldn't do with your spouse watching is probably out of bounds. I think you should address the problem with her and tell her your feelings about it.
