Sometimes because thats happened to me a few times, people can be unappreciative when you constantly try to do the right thing.

No, not at all. Good people are the one's we remember and respect and care about.  If anyone's 'stepping on someone' they're the baddy!

It may apparently seem that way.  But I am a strong believer of past actions and good people act the way they are because they have in the past done wrong therefore to atone for past actions they ammend themselves in this life.  What they get back is the taste of their own medicine that they doled out to others in their past lives.  Does that make logical sense?

No.  I think good people may be more able to feel for others, and while that results in some extra hurt feelings, it also nets a lot of great experiences too.  Besides, that person in the mirror has the most important opinion of me, so I try to keep her pacified.  smile

I think we make our lives however we want.  However, I think  surrounding yourself with negative people will create negative feelings and sometimes actions.

At times your question is true.  It can depend on how popular your good deed is...for example if your giving aid to hurricane victims and that is the topic of concern in the media at the time.  And sometimes good people never receive recognition or it takes years for such praise.
