   I am not sure that is generally true as I have known some young girls in my time with some might poor judgement.  They say there is a frontal lobe area of the brain that does not fully develop in teenagers and young adults until they reach age 25. This accounts for some of their lack of maturity and judgement in their approach to life. That process might be somewhat faster in women than men thus women may develop that mindset faster. WB

   I thought that in a general situation girls mature earlier the boys. Under normal situation they both get matured eventually.
   
   Though both eventually mature, it is probably not true to say one group is more mature than the other.

   No, what happens is this, some girls mature earlier than some boys, some boys mature earlier than some girls.  However, we must remember the old saw:
   The truly great man never loses his child heart.

   It's never good to generalize.  No assuming, as it were.  There are a lot of urban myths out there with no basis in data.

   I is generally excepted that girls mature faster than boys in the teenage period. I hardly think it's true though. It is probably caused by the fenomenon "boys will be boys". Sometimes boys just do things which is catogarized as being more immature. In the teenage period they will, for example, laugh at words such as: boobs or vagina (or any variation of these). This will look like immature acts, though it might just be a natural development from boyhood to manhood - however strange it may seem.
