Easiest way is to invite him. Notice this is not asking him out, this saying, would you like to join me for a coffee or burger or something. If he has any feeling or interest at all, he will ask you out. If he is not into you - move on.
Why not just ask him out and make the first move? After all, your the one crushing on him!
There's no shame in asking a guy out if you're a girl. Sometimes a guy is having similar thoughts in his head about whether or not the girl he likes really likes him, so it may make him hesitate about asking her out. If you don't want to ask him out yourself, then drop hints that you like him, or tell one of his friends even if you have to. See what they say about it.
If you want to play it safe go with what KwameG said. But if you just want to go ahead and go for it...then do just that. JUST ASK him! lol
It's better to know and move on. Hope it works go for the best! :-)
