    What should be a girls standards in dating a guy? or choosing a lifetime partner?

    when one does not find these standards should you lower it?

    There is no exact standard, the standards depends on your own value of life.

    I personally think there are 2 standards, primary and secondary.

    For example, if your primary values are honesty, patience, religion, etc; then that is your primary standards and are not "negotiable"

    But of course there are some secondary standards like height, body type, skin color, etc which are "negotiable", meaning you can lower you standard if you feel like it.

    First you want someone who is comfortable enough with themselves to allow you to be you. If you have to attempt to change who you are to date someone...ditch the idea. Secondly, is there an element of consideration and respect? If not, what you see is what you get and you will not be changing that regardless of how serious the romance becomes. Leopards don't change their spots. Where's the temper level, the jealousy level, the control level?  All these thing need to be apparent to you. What are your needs? Do you require someone to be attentive and always close...or do you want space?  Is this someone who can be your best friend?  If not, forget it.  This is a good place to start. WB
