Is lust an important cog in romantic love?
There is a distinction between lust and love, but do you think that there is some common ground in intimate relationships?
No, lust is defined as "an overpowering desire" or "a strong craving". Lust is perfectly normal in humans and is in fact a very important component of a relationship but it is not a part of romantic love.
Romantic love is an emotion based feeling or state a human experiences with another human.
Both are components of a healthy relationship between people but neither are "Cogs" of components of the other.
