How do I let him know I want to wear my mother's engagement ring?
My mom died 6 years ago. Shortly before her untimely death, she and my father divorced after 28 years of marriage. I have her wedding rings and would like to wear them as my own. I'd like to give the ring to my dad, and have my dad give the ring to my boyfriend. I know that he will ask for my dad's blessing, but I don't want him to buy a ring before he does. How do I let my boyfriend know that I'd really like to wear my mom's ring? Besides wanting to wear it, I know that he can't spend a lot of money on a ring, but I don't want him to be insulted by this. How do I tell him?
I think I would just tell him that your mums rings are important to you. Unless you tell him, he will probably buy you one.
Simply say "Babe, I want to wear my mum's engagment ring." if he say no, then say "F*** you" and then dump him
