I was five years old. My parents brought us to a pilgrimage to the mountains every summer. He was the son of my family's friends but they lived far away from where we lived, so we saw each other only in the summers, but we never talked. I saw him again when we were in college, different colleges and thought, wow, he looked so much different when I was five. End of story.

    I was 16.

After a few weeks, I was in love. Luckily, my girl (age 14) also fell for me.

So we courted (didn't 'hang out', 'go out',  - 'courted') until we were old enough to get married. And did.

42nd Wedding anniversary coming up in April.

if you're interested, check my profile for a hub about how our marriage (as do thousands of others) disproves the common belief that 'first love is never the lasting kind', or that 'you can't know your own mind well enough to know love until you're (insert preferred age here)'.

True love strikes. And endures. Even if it starts as 'just a crush'.smile

I was 9. I had the biggest crush on my brother's karate classmate.
Well, I blushed every single time he passed by and I tried my best to keep it all down and hidden. I always volunteered to go with my mom whenever she would drop my brother to class, and I asked my mom to fix my hair a lot before going there.
I guess I handled it pretty well.

I was very disappointed when he left the class though... By that time, I joined the class already *wink*

My first fantasy crush was on Mr. Spock from STAR TREK (still like those nerdy intellectuals) but my first real life crush was probably at 15 or so - a dancer in a musical we did in high school. I doubt he knew I existed. Sigh.

Woooo  this is a good one but you always have the best questions Krystal.  My first crush was on Ronnie Davis, the coolest, baddest, sexiest, most talented boy...in the 8th grade. Girl he didn't even know I was ON earth lol.  Thanks for the memories though.

maybe at 14, im in crush with my bestfriend and he might still didn't know till now. haha...
it's so confusing and the quick solution is shared with my girlfriends, and guess what one of them is crush on him too, dammit!
and i just think that im being a fool if still pet this feeling, so i swap the crush feeling and try to treat him as a friend, just like we belong

Amm. I had a crush when I was in 6 or 7. It was one of my senior and a real bully which attracted me. It was from both side but none of us admitted. Those small peeps while changing classroom, lunch time and sports were awesome. But then we changed schools. And guess what after 6 years we were in same college. Then it was very instant and I got a proposal. I died to say yes but I couldn't because I was seeing someone else and I had to be faithful. End of story. Your question brought up those memories. Love u for it tongue

At the age of 11. Imagine I had a crush with my teacher who was around the age 24. She was very nice and caring so making me feel the closeness and affection.

Well, I got over in a year after finding another girl.

My first crush was when I was 8 on a boy 2 years older than me. I never even spoke to him. But to this day, while doodling, just out of habit without thinking I'll still write his name in bubble letters on the phone book!
