It is hard in relationships not to have expectations, but pure love is unconditional. Do you love your partner* unconditionally?
*this is not a question about loving your children
Yes I do! For the first time in my life, I believe I am now loving unconditionally. It is one of God's greatest gift to be able to feel an unconditional love to someone.
Everything that has a beginning also has an end. The one loving unconditionally will end up with an immense hurt and emptiness when it ends.
There is no other way. I love to the point if it means to let go of the person. Yes, it happens. Love is a stream that is released into the universe. So it does not make any sense to try to harness that emotion.
